Doubt on star health Sum insured increase via starhealth in

skvignesh

TF Premier
Previously during renewal it will show not sum increase option for my parents policy, but this time it's showing an option to increase the amount.

Before proceeding if choose required Amount, pay via online itself it's done or Have to visit home branch & do form formalities?

Any body done it before?

Also for Star Health Medi Insurance EMI, how much extra Interest Charges? anybody using EMI method ?

PS: Emailed to star also, they will take time to reply so asking here...

Any insurance related matters if possible are best taken care of offline at nearest branch (primary reason being you get names to reach out to directly in case anything goes south. This definitely beats than playing ping pong via email with customer care anytime).

Since its policy for your parents do confirm first if increasing sum assured would entail underwriting again (hence possible health checkup, not at all recommended if there is already a pre-existing disease which was acquired before or during policy period). A good way to mitigate this would be to take up a super top policy with existing policy’s sun assured as deductible for them.
