Credit Limit Enhancement wiki

Hi Guys. I keep seeing lots of posts asking how to apply for limit increase for various cards so I'm making this wiki post. I will try to keep it up to date whenever possible. This is my first contribution to the forum and feedback is welcome.

I'll start with simplest official method and then add any manual methods or tricks based on suggestions. Will also mention where to look for pre-approved limit enhancement offer if you already have it and frequency of getting limit enhancement by applying with official methods.
Let's do it.

• ICICI Bank
  • How to apply:
  • Frequency:
  • How to check pre approved offer:
    1. SMS CRLIM XXXX to 9215676766 from your registered mobile. XXXX is last 4 digits of your card.
    2. Open iMobile -> Cards -> your card -> Manage Limit -> You'll see if there's an offer to increase limit on this screen.

• SBI
  • How to apply:
    1. Open SBI Card app -> Click on More (next to Services in botton navigation) -> Benefits -> Credit Limit Increase -> select desired limit -> Proceed -> upload bank statement -> done
    2. Login to sbicard.com -> Benefits -> Credit Limit Increase -> select desired limit -> Proceed -> upload bank statement (via anumati) -> done
  • Frequency: Every 6 months (I got 2nd LE within 5 months using app both times)
  • How to check pre approved offer:

• Axis Bank
  • How to apply:
    1. Axis Support method:
       • Go to axisbank.com Support -> Connect Via email (search for it) -> There will be a page with 4 pink text selections (underlined)
       • Choose the following options: Cards -> Credit Cards -> Credit Limit -> How do I request a credit limit increase on my credit card
       • Now click on Email button below it and fill the form on next page and attach your salary slips or ITR and submit.
  • Frequency:
  • How to check pre approved offer:
    • Axis Open app -> Service & Support (from left side) -> Check for Limit Increase
    • Can also be checked on website too

• HDFC Bank
  • How to apply:
    1. Offline method:
       • Download Application for Limit Increase or Credit Card Upgrade - For Customer from here.
       • Fill it up, attach your salary slips (2-3 months) and bank statement of salary account
       • Go to branch and ask them to put it in the mailbox
       • Or, send it on the address written on form itself by post.
  • Frequency: Every 6 months (?)

• STANDARD CHARTERED

[LHR]

For Yes Bank

You need to download the Limit Enhancement form from the bank's website, print it out, fill it and sign. Along with that, you need to attach the last 2 months payslips along with bank statements for salaried or last year's ITR. These income documents need to be self attested.

Put these documents and then mail them to Yes Bank's Chennai Head Office, the address is on the downloaded form.

For IDFC First Bank

For this, simply mail IDFC at banker@idfcfirstbank.com and request to initiate the limit extension request. You can also call IDFC on 1800 10888 and ask the CS Executive to process the request.

On mail, they might reject your request saying "There is no offer on your card", but you need to keep mailing them until the process the request. With IDFC as well you will need to provide your last 3 months payslips and bank statements or ITR but you can send these over email.
