CIBIL Score Dropped from 793 to 709 due to ₹7 DPD – Need Help (Axis Bank)

Auto-pay wasn’t active either — that’s on me.

I am puzzled. Several years back my Axis Select CC came with the auto-pay active by default (for the minimum amount due), and it could never be turned off ! Wasn’t it the case for you too? Has Axis changed their policy since ?!
.

Thank you for the detailed responses so far. While I appreciate the solutions shared, I’d still like to keep this thread open for a little longer to hear from others who might have faced a similar situation. Their perspectives and experiences could offer further clarity and help me make a more informed decision.
Let’s keep it going a bit longer, if that’s okay!
As far as I know if your due is less than 100, provided it is not overdue or EMI payment, etc. then it can't be reported. Please check for RBI circular on the same.

I'm on the same boat bro.. 0.9 rs reported as overdue. Have mailed PNO, waiting for their reply

Update- I had already emailed to pno axis bank to remove this dpd as a goodwill gesture got a reply from pno to share the complete cibil report memtioned control id from official cibil site with control number, pan number and details of credit card visible in cibil, now I would need cibil subscription to send these
They need complete cibil report?

Hey, I’m honestly quite stressed about this right now.
If you don’t mind, could you please share a few more details about what exactly your friend did — like the exact outstanding amount, how many days DPD was reported on CIBIL, and how long Axis took to remove it? Was dpd was removed from cibil report??

It would really help me understand the process better. Appreciate your help!
Is 8 credit cards really required. Just think on this point. It would be hard to maintain such a big list. What you say. Not to criticize, this is just on a friendly note

one report is free per year if you have not used it already

I get what you’re saying! But honestly, it’s not as hectic as it sounds. I mainly use 1 or 2 cards for daily stuff. The rest are just for grabbing specific offers or rewards — not in constant use

Bro didn't find anything on this. Chatgpt also said there's no official circular on this
I remember once when I searched I got that written in highlight from rbi circular in Ai overview but now when I am searching I am also not getting : (

Thanks for sharing your experience — that’s really helpful. If you don’t mind, could you please share a few more details?
Specifically:
  • How many days after the due date did you make the payment?
  • What was the approximate outstanding amount at that time?
  • And how did you get in touch with Axis Bank — was it through email, customer care, or some other method?
Amount was 739 and dpd was 10 days.

I contacted Nodal Officer of axis through email.

It got resolved in 20 days.

Edit- They will ask for latest cibil report so be ready and provide cibil report.

In 2023 , for the Bill of July month, I paid full bill of SBI card on 3rd August, credited on same day in the card account, the due date was 7th August. SBI card reported delayed payment by 3 days, my CIBIL score dropped by 31 points. I complained. They first denied all this. When I escalated upto Customer Service Head level, they removed the entry. But, to my surprise, all previous payments done by me for SBI card since last 4 years got vanished. My scores improved by 12 points immediately in the the next month. But for the recovery of lost score, It took 8-10 months.

There was not any fault from side, still I suffered.
