Check SBI credit card actual rejection reason

If you got a nonsensical or vague reason for SBI credit card rejection like for e.g. "due to internal policy", etc., you can check the real reason via an SBI credit card executive. These people roam around SBI branches, malls, airports, petrol pumps, etc.
They have a mobile app called PowerPlay. The app is not available for end users.
After opening the PowerPlay app, there are forms to apply for different SBI credit cards. Select a random credit card to apply. In the application form there is a text box to enter PAN number and a button below it that says "PAN Dedupe". Enter the PAN number and click the button "PAN Dedupe". No other details need to entered. There is no CIBIL hit. You will get details of all SBI credit cards applied against that PAN number with the details of rejection/selection under "Status" and "Reason Code".
The code can looked up further in the attached PowerPoint slides which has some common rejection codes. The slides mention ways to fix the issues and the cooling period.
There is one more attachment with all the rejection codes for reference. But its of no use as it doesn't mention the corrective measures.

He is actually a aurum guy. I haven't talked to him abt that card as I haven't studied that card neither m interested atleast for now. Is it good?

He told me if I want aurum, he can get that but I said just cashback lol.
It is not a loss nor win card, if fyf it would be good, otherwise it also give equivalent points to fees paid & reversal from 2nd year on spends of 12 lacs
1% base reward

get limit transferred first before closing secondary card.
@spd
Whom should I write to? customercare@sbicard.com?
Should I write that I want to close X card, hence transfer the limit to Y card? Or just transfer the limit from X card to Y card?
Ideally I would like to keep both the cards. And I don't mind a poor limit on the first card. So are any of the following possible?
1. Swap limits between the cards
2. Share limits between the cards

Yes, you can keep both the cards and no need to write to anyone, just call customer care, don't mention abt closing cards or anything, just tell them transfer limit from card x to card y. They will tell u how much max u can transfer and then u can choose how much would u like to transfer.

In SBI there is no option to "share" limits, u can just transfer limits. Minimum SBI Card limit is 10,000. So if you have 50,000 limit, u can transfer max 40,000, as 10,000 is base limit.

You need to call customer care. They will check if transfer is possible and how much max you can transfer from one card to other card. I think no need to say them that you want to close the card. First get limit transferred and then once you see limits updated. Call later or next day to close the card.

Thanks @Sobirvs @spd @panu24 . Just got off the phone with SBI Card customer care. Limit transfer was done instantly and is effective immediately. Received the limit transfer SMS immediately. I had thought new limits would reflect from next billing cycle.

BTW, is there any limit on the number of times we can make this limit transfer request?

Limit transfer happens and effects immediately. Just safe side I replied to check yourself in the app before proceeding with next request/action 🙂

There should not be any limit on limit transfer as long as their system allows to transfer limit from one card to other card.

idk abt how many times u can do it, BUT I do know abt one thing. Let me give an example

SBI Card X - Tenure 4 yrs old, 4L limit
SBI Card Y - Tenure 1 month old (relatively new), 10k Limit.

Okay?

Now, person wants to transfer limit from X to Y right? upto 3.9L limit can be transferred, 10k is base limit, that cannot be transferred.

But let's say the Card X got a increased limit by SBI 1 week back of 80k more. So new limit is 4.8L

Now If that person calls SBI and ask for 4.7L limit to be transferred, that can't be done, the new 80k increased limit isn't eligible for limit transfer. I think may be because it's new limit. May be after 3months or 6 months, it can be transferred but not now. Only upto 3.9L limit can be transferred.
