I guess this is a generic issue, present in every corner of the world. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't raise our voices for the problems we are facing. I was the only young guy at the branch that day. Those staff were shouting at the old, illiterate people out of frustration.
My take is simple now. If it's the bank that is gonna pay, then I am not gonna reduce my demand at all. I know how corporates work, and I have no soft corner for them. But if it's the branch staff who are going to share the burden, then I don't want it. I don't want a share of someone's salary and party around. And who knows, maybe they will send a goon after me for being upset 🤣. The AGM is from my native state, and he is going to have a word with me today. Let's see what info I get from him.

This is absurd on so many levels.
1. Its a corporate
2. Its a government corporate. They are not some laborers who to came to your house for work and broke your valuables.
You can easily call his bluff by calling him and asking to email you that the compensation will be deducted from their salary and that you are going to write to RBI to confirm if its true, and only on confirmation, you would be willing to waive off the compensation demand. It would be good to know what he has to say on that.

Anyway, the AGM confirmed that the bank will pay the compensation. He had informally informed the branch people that they will have to pay for this, in order to intimidate them and make them a bit disciplined.
Here is my objection.
Bank has no money itself. It's the money of ours (common people/ sufferer) or tax payers. Now, you are taking that money out for you. Offcourse you have a reason.
But, the thing RBI and Bank authority is wrongly doing is giving someone else's (who themselves are suffering) money to someone else.
Because you have learnt how to take that money you are taking it out.
This is what we educated people do not realise in our self-selfishness.
I am not blaming you but blaming this biased system.
I would have been more happy if they did detailed enquiry and then decided who should pay, what amount to be paid, and who should be the beneficiaries.
Look at it in a bad angle- Ministers knows the loopholes.. so they take out money, we blame them because they taking out public money through that knowledge (of loopholes), then why don't we blame ourselves for taking that advantage? Why not money are not being paid equally to everyone standing there on that day? Why the common peoples' money to be used?
I think we are looking into it too much .
Let the bank be paid him first.
After getting money, he will be known whether its paid from bank vault or employees pocket.
He can return to employees if he wishes to if paid from them.
Anyhow hope they learn a good lesson atleast now.
It was just a discussion. Nothing else. But unless we educated people raise these questions it won't get resolved on its own.
this is good idea. they can show proof that it's been deducted from them & he can refund them.

Yes, you can get 4 if your account type is CENT QUEEN. Getting the pink colored card will require a lot of hassle.

If we look at it that way, then I think nothing is right in the world.
If you think about the stock market, someone is gaining money only at the expense of someone else's loss. Does it mean that people should stop investing? I would have felt guilty if the branch people had to pay, I will check with them off the record once, though. If they have been forced to pay, then I can think of returning some amount to them.
Can you tell is it possible for applying to paid RSDC from centeez app for both account holders? If not how do we get additional 2 per account?

Apply from the Cent mobile app. Cent Eez is buggy, at least for now.
Give me Salaried posting in Bank 🏦, to issue RSDC to eligible customer.
Bank, RBI, Customer all will be happy 😁

Depends on the branch people. You need to convince them to apply for both the holders.

They apply debit card at the time of account opening or later? Account can open in one visit or need 2nd day for acc to generate?

Go through the thread, buddy. All it takes is a simple search.
As I mentioned earlier, it depends on the branch. If the branch employee is good and knowledgeable, then he/she will apply for both the users during account opening. But if you are unlucky, you will have to put a lot of effort into getting it done. Account will get created in 1day.
