My phone has NFC. So I prefer using tap and pay via phone for offline credit card payments via credit cards.
In this way I don't have to carry my credit card physically and there's no risk of accidental payments via NFC as I turn it on in my phone only during payment.
But most credit cards don't support tap and pay above 2000. I have read somewhere in google that I can still use tap and pay for higher amounts but I'll have to authenticate with PIN.
But when I asked the same with the shopkeeper, he said that there's no option to do that (He doesn't have much idea about this though).
So can you guys shed some light on this? Can I actually use tap and pay for paying bigger amounts like 7000, 10000 maybe with PIN?
