Is there any benefit to keeping Eterna now? I had some use, despite increasing restrictions, however, after new restrictions which became active from 01 January this year, the card has become effectively worthless. I hesitate contemplating any transaction, even on those merchants where I might think it may be rewarding, which is an ever shrinking list. The renewal is up in a few months, and I've not gotten anywhere close to the exemption threshold spends. Lounge visits (spends of >20k I think) doesn't interest me as a feature.

I've held the MasterCard version of the card so far, any benefit in converting to Rupay?
@BVC can shed some more insight on this. He is using Eterna Rupay. @Ram1 @jetesh @SSV also using Eterna.

I have eterna rupay which I use occasionally for UPI spends & big basket discount at times. I converted it from visa infinite last year.

Considering closing it before renewal in September, although I have already crossed 2.5 L on this card which is required for annual fee reversal, I will most probably still close this card to optimize card portfolio.

I’m using Eterna on Rupay. Got it in 3rd attempt due to stupid BOB application procedure. Use it on Kiwi for decent Kiwis. I’m happy using it on Rupay variant as I get convenience of using on UPI.

- BOGO District (Add on also get)
- 40K Qtr spends UL Domestic Lounge Access
- Merchant Offers for Add On also
- Annual Milestones
- More Lounges covered.

The card is not worthy enough for your use case.

Only below two cases are worth Eterna for now:

- LTF
- Chargeable - Person holding is a traveller which can meet spends criteria for lounge access and does not have Infinia.

close it and relax

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the advice. Overall, based on my usage needs, I don't believe I can make it work, was just checking if there was something I'd missed or if there was any benefit in Rupay conversion, but even that seems dicey.
I'll make an appeal to BoB to convert it to LTF, which I know they won't, despite the fact that I got Eterna very early on and have a decent limit(for PSU card), and used to have a good spend rate; once they reject, I'll close it.

If you do not have any other BoB Card, then get the free virtual HP Energie before closing for Bank offers

Highly unlikely to get LTF now, but worth a try before closing or maybe they do reversal.

Already have the SnapDeal card, which is now an abomination. Any use on the card gives no reward points at all. I've stopped chasing them. While I have it, no other virtual card appears as an option to be applied.

BoB has killed almost all of its cards a year ago and are only for credit purpose or bank offers.

RuPay variant - UPI spend also eligible for milestone and lounge access spent criteria.

I surrendered Eterna 3 months back. Will surrender LTF Snapdeal and LTF Energie also shortly. Using their cards bring lots of hassle nowadays like non reversal of fuel surcharge, non credit of Reward points, non response from their customer care. BOB should close down their CC business.
