Best way to buy foreign currency notes

It is possible to pay through Credit card. But I did not choose the option personally as it had a convenience fee of some 2.5% on paying through credit card and also I preferred to pay through UPI once I received the actual currency notes

It depends on their partner for that particular transaction. They tie up with some forex vendor who then supplies the currency. One time in Bangalore was very prompt, got the currency on the same day but another time had ordered in Chennai, the vendor was far away and got the notes after multiple follow ups on the 3rd day only. Choose their service only because of better rates than others.

You can also call up local forex vendors directly and compare rates

Decided not to buy currency.
Have been using Magnus for transactions outside India and am getting points for that.
Credit Card works everywhere so not a problem

To buy foreign currency notes, consider using a reputable service like BookMyForex. Start by researching exchange rates and choosing your desired currency. Place an order online, providing accurate details, and complete any required verification. Make the payment using the provided methods.

Opt for either home delivery or pick up the currency at a designated location. Upon receiving the currency notes, check their authenticity and count them. Keep all transaction receipts for your records. Monitor exchange rates leading up to your travel date, and be aware of minimum and maximum purchase limits, as well as any transaction fees.

Having a small reserve of the destination's currency for immediate expenses is wise. Store your foreign currency securely and consider feedback and reviews to help others. After your trip, exchange any unused currency back to your local currency. Using a reliable service like BookMyForex and staying informed about exchange rates will ensure a smooth and cost-effective currency exchange experience.

Consider contacting your local bank for a reliable exchange rate; credit cards are generally not accepted for physical foreign currency purchases.

You can exchange your foreign currency notes via banks or online forex platforms. With online forex platforms, you can get foreign currency at far better exchange rates than banks. There are many online platforms like BookMyForex, Thomas Cook, Orient Exchange, etc.
