whichever card u used to book those flight tickets, those usually provide air accident insurance along with few travel perks like lost luggage etc. do check that bank product page once.

FOr travel insurance, check AMEX once.

When it comes to travel insurance in India...you've got some solid options like ICICI Lombard, HDFC ERGO and Tata AIG. They offer different plans for various needs be it medical emergencies or lost baggage. Take a peek at what they offer, read some reviews, and maybe even ask for recommendations. You want to make sure you're covered for whatever might come your way while you're exploring ...haha..

Tata AIG, Bajaj Allianz, Care Health Insurance, etc. Compare plans on Policybazaar. Understand what's covered, exclusions, and claim procedures before opting for one.

Legit Q, has anyone ever required to use travel insurance while travelling abroad?
If yes, then which service provider were they using? and how smooth was the process to raise the claim? how soon was it settled? (especially if there was an hospital emergency).
I did see youtuber Varun (@mountaintrekker) has a very bad expeience with TAT AIGwhile he fell sick in Oman (or some gulf country) and his travel insurance provider wasn't accepting claims. He said they werent even ready to talk to him over phone. and it caused a lot of problems.
I too travel frequently, so genuinely wanted to know that when there is a need to claim insyrance (in this case travel insurance) we arent taken for a ride.

You take it for peace of mind .
It's cheap .

Compensation & claims - it's very subjective on experience & type of claim

Sadly this is what everyone tells, hence my Q was if there was someone who claimed a hospital bill during travel.. and if they could comment on their experience. Hopefully someone who did would see this and comment for the benefit of others.
