Hey All,
One of my family members wants to get a credit card focused on Travel. Airmiles specifically.
She is not eligible for Magnus as her ITR is < 18L.

Not looking for Airline specific cards like Vistara Infinite. Need more airline partners.

The possible options I have in Mind
1. Axis Atlas
2. Amex MRCC or Gold Charge or Amex Platinum travel

Fixed 25k insurance expense per month + additional 20k expenses on other stuff. (Grocery, shopping, cabs etc)

I selected Axis Atlas because 20k spends would get 200 * 2 = 400 Edge Miles = 800 Partner miles (1:2)
Amex Platinum Travel for Reward multipliers on Flipkart, Ajio etc for Additional MR points. 25k Insurance payment on this card so 1.9L milestone would give 15K MR points.
(Amex MR points would give 3:1 or 2:1 partner miles so not great like Atlas)

Please suggest which card or combination of cards is good to get the maximum benefits for travel.

Apply for the ltf card with bank wherever she gets her salary credited.
If she gets 4l+ card limit then she can apply for magnus c2c basis after a month or two.
Other than that your strategy is good.

With these expenses, ask her to get SBI Cashback card. Insurance can be paid via amazon gvs purchased from gyftr or amazon site. And 5% cash is much better than 1-2% reward points which can be used for airmiles.

Thanks a lot for the responses.
I think it makes sense to take one LTF card as gabu suggested from the existing bank with whom she has a good relationship (ICICI and IDFC) Maybe good chance of getting a high limit.

If by any chance the Limit exceeds 4L+, will apply for Magnus.
I will also ask her to consider the SBI Cashback card.

My yearly spend is around 8-10L on credit card. currently I have an SBI card which does not give any sort of miles. Looking for a good card which gives me good miles. Which cards are good ?
