From last month I am using HDFC DCB with Redgirraffe through Payzapp. Net profit is around Rs 500 worth reward points, not bad.

For a rent of 18k, RedGirraffe charges Rs 83, and I get 600 points with the DCB card which is wort Re 1 when redeeming for travel. In the DCB statement, points for this transaction is coming under insurance payments.
There is not reward points from HDFC for rental payments. So incurring the cost in Red giraffe for HDFC card is expensive

If you make the Redgirraffe rent payment using HDFC Bill Pay from netbanking, then it is not categorised as rental payment, and you get the the regular rewards.
Hi is it still valid? I need to pay rent and thinking for DCB for rent payment. I think hdfc doesn't charge for first rent payment in the month

I think so, I haven't made the payment for November yet. As I mentioned, it is not categorised as rent pay, but a regular bill pay. So you can make any number of such transactions in a month and still get reward points.

Is there any platform that doesn't classify society maintenance payment as rent even if it charges upto 2.5%? Coz magnus will give me more than adequate points to offset the charges. Thanks
