Every bank has a software designed for credit card application.
Like cibil , income , age, relationship, any default, etc ,etc ....
Now your application gets scanned through that software and this is done by human only officers sitting in credit card department.
If you fulfill all the criteria your card is approved with the limit shown in their system.

Once this gets leaked, they will instantly change all the parameters. So far, I don't know anybody, who has concrete information.
