Bro, how to chat with axis support like you did? Any contact number or through website? They are bugging me with iocl card offer messages, didnt mention charges applicable to me.

Axis is talking as if you asked to change from My Zone to Magnus.
All you are asking for is to change My Zone Visa to My Zone Rupay.
You are not changing the card, just the card network.

Ye dil se nahi khopdi se open hain As-is wale.

Write to pno@axisbank.com and tell them that you are not asking to change the card. It's the card network that you are asking to change, and hence it should not carry any charge as the card was provisioned LTF for you.

Axis bank is making up rules as per their liking.
They issued Axis IOCL Rupay as LTF sometime back and now they are saying “Rupay Network” is chargeable.

Even if it is
4 edge point for 200 is crime .
For rupay card .
If u spend 10k from myzone rupay ( 200 edge Reward point)
800 petrol ( 200 points 😂) from iocl

Now rupay cc to bank is chargeable so u can't even rotate money for penny edge points

People stopped using their My Zone cards after the devaluation of the Swiggy offer, and now they are asking us to pay for the Rupay variant. The Rupay variant will be used more often through UPI than the Visa variant. It seems that Axis Bank does not want people to use this card.

In its draft, RBI does not talk about anything related to "charges" or fee. It says that "Card issuers shall provide an option to their eligible customers to choose any one among the multiple card networks. This option may be exercised by customers either at the time of issue or at any subsequent time."
And here in OP's case, Axis did agree to change the network/variant, however Axis is talking about charges.
That is upto Axis. OP needs to discuss with Axis to get the charges waived off.

Can you share the rbi guideline link ? I am also following up with kotak on something similar.
