May be in your account the preferred network card is there. They might done the upgrade

I think they are not converting, rather issuing a new card with joining fee.
If you are fine try applying online, it will show you in option for Airtel rupay & you can take it.

See in net banking. All the outstanding and transaction in master card get transferred into the new airtel rupay. So it's an upgrade one only.

Applying online for rupay will get rejected if we already holding airtel master . So no use

Currently, This card is not working for online transactions as the otp page isn't loading.
P.S. I have already enabled it for 5k online and UPI transactions.
