Axis provides cashback in the form of GIF of 5% or 10% of the purchase amount.


In mathematical terms, this means:


Here, ⌊ ⌋ denotes the Greatest Integer Function.

Examples:​

1. Purchase Amount = ₹399
   5% of 399 = 19.95 → GIF(19.95) = ₹19 cashback
2. If 5% of any amount = 9.99
   GIF(9.99) = ₹9 cashback only, not ₹10.

I Have observed that Axis Bank credit cards, like those for Flipkart and Airtel, provide cashback based on the Greatest Integer Function, only the whole number part of 5% is credited. In contrast, HDFC does a better job in this regard. For example, with the HDFC Swiggy credit card, they provide the actual 5% or 10% cashback, including the decimal amount.
