Getting Au zenith+ upgrade from Au Vetta Credit Card for ₹199+ gst, is it worth to upgrade?

Getting Au zenith+ upgrade from Au Vetta Credit Card for ₹199+ gst, is it worth to upgrade?
Depends on usage.

Let me explain few great benefits:
1. The card gives you joining & renewal points of 5000 which where 1 point = Rs 1. Means you're only only paying around Rs.900 per year as an GST.
2. Best card for movies. Here you get 2 benefits --> 1st one is from AU upto Rs.500 & 2nd one is from Visa Infinite upto Rs.300 + Rs.200 (this Rs.200 on food is 100%). Note- AU offer is 4 times per quarter while Visa Infinite twice per month.
3. This is the only card with less fees where you get small returns on international payments. 0.99% is the markup but will give you 2% on international spends. So, around 0.8% return.

If you're from metro city then most of the time you find the minimum ticket cost is Rs.300 for normal and upto Rs.450 for blockbusters. Let say you claimed it twice or thrice then & there itself you will recover Rs.900 GST amount.

In addition, AU runs secret offers mostly for Zenith+ card like spend 30K and get 1k cashback or purchase amazon vouchers and get 5x extra on base.

Now, make your decision.

Problem: each redemption cost 118rs. which is normal when compare to other banks but issue au wont allow us to checkout at a time and voucher maynot have value 5000 to checkout single time.
ex: amzn has only 500 or (sometimes) 1000 rs. vouchers only, so we have to checkout atleast 5 times and need to pay 590rs. as redemption fee.

so, we're getting a card worth 1500rs. which is not a good card when compare to other cards in this price range. SbI cashback with 1180rs. much better position compare to zenith+.

agree, only benefit but as mentioned above lets say a movie ticket worth 400rs. then ots beneficial only if we watch more than 4 movies as 2 people.

3. This is the only card with less fees where you get small returns on international payments. 0.99% is the markup but will give you 2% on international spends. So, around 0.8% return.

in 2 years I got only extra ~2% offers which overall gives 4% when spend on 2%. never more than that.

That's why I told use case.

For me it's best card. Just 2 movies recovers the GST amount. No drama of slots, book anytime and get confirmed discount.
I saw the movie booking history, I booked around 15 movies last year 😅

I not yet tried points redemption. I need to redeem this year (2nd year. Points validity is 2 years).

But overall I could still see best card with Rs.900 for me.

Note:
This card having free national & international lounge without any spending criteria. All these with just Rs.900 per year.

Yes you're right plus ur missing the domestic 4 times meet and greet at just 900 which is gst fee which I guess no card gives plus it's metal card for people who have metal card fascination like me.

Plus AU bank has a lot of flights offers on Yatra and Zomato Restaurant offers.

I am myself looking to upgrade to Zenith LTF+

Can you tell me how did you use 5k points? People say amazon vouchers are rare for redemption against the 5k points you get. If not amazon then what?

u can easily get amzn as redemption no issues with that..

only denomination is the problem and u cant checkout at a time with multiple quantity. any denomination, only 1 quantity in single checkout and that costs 118rs.

so, have to checkout entire points in minimum no.of times to avoid multiple 118rs. billed to account.

basically u can get any voucher, its not like sc which has limited reward options, or indus or yes for %of point redemption. Free to get any vocuher as u like, wide options.
