Can Taj Voucher earned as bonus rewards from Amex Platinum Travel Credit Card be used for having lunch/dinner at Taj Hotels without staying in the hotel?

This is wrong info, I have redeemed Amex vouchers for F&F rate(50% off rate, much better than any of Member rates) at multiple Taj properties, I can give you long list of such properties. Yes, official policy says it is not allowed. But if you insist & negotiate, they will happily accept.

How can you negotiate ? All you can do is take a chance and worry!

Yes, there is separate microsite available for it, It is there on Tata Neu app as well, However one of your blood relative(Ex-Spouse) or either yourself must be a Tata group employee(Ex- TCS) & employee must be part of stay.

No, that is a separate offer, it offers just 25% off.

Also, 50% off is standard F&F offer. Very rarely they offer 75% off as well which is kind of LOOT. Last time they did was in Jan 2023.

I contacted the Taj by email.. They informed that Amex vouchers are only eligible for standard rate booking...although the night will be added to my member card at the end of my stay after bill is settled...But the Booking rate will be that of non-member

Friends, I have booked a room in taj Udaipur palace via amex 25% offer, i had 3 birthday vouchers 2022, 23 and 24 so but 22 & 23 vouchers got expired long time, i have requested the amex to consider activating it and last day of my stay it got activated and i have redeemed the Taj vouchers against my stay and food bill. This is incredible service from amex as they have very sustainable business relationship with Taj and its mutually beneficial and even for us !!

No, you need to be current employee so you are not eligible, Process- once you verify your TCS email ID via Tata Neu app, there would section with 50% off coming in hotel section.

Yes, I think you can use it. I have seen read some members have utilized it for f&b

As per the tnc:
The voucher can be adjusted against all Publicly Available Rates (including holiday packages & other promotionaloffers) booked directly on www.tajhotels.com , www.seleqtionshotels.com , www.vivantahotels.com or through TajReservations Worldwide via Email or Phone or directly with the hotels. The voucher cannot be used for bookingsmade on (1) discounted and closed user group rates such as Taj InnerCircle Members Special rates, American ExpressCard member rates, Marketing Alliances rates, Negotiated rates of Corporate companies, Friends and Family rates,and Employee rates (2) bookings made via travel websites or a third party, bookings made via tour operators andtravel agents on their contracted rates, and travel-industry staff rates (3) bookings made for groups, conferences,weddings and events (4) bookings on airline staff and crew rates.
