Hi

My gold charge card completed one year and been charged 4500 + tax charges as annual charges
Usage - only 6kx1 in last one year
Points around 65k

I call cc and ask for retention offer

Option Given
1) Pay Half Charges and other charges waived
2) Spend 1 Lac in next 90 days
3) Close the Card (need suggestion to use points)
4) Apply for new card (option ruled out due to no new applications)

Pls suggest

Latest Gold Charge retention offer I got yesterday:

1) 50% waiver
2) 100% waiver on spends of 2.5L INR in 90 days.

Went with #1.

Was hoping for a 1.5L spend threshold but seems as if it has been discontinued...

Geez. 2.5 on gold ain't worth it man

At least on plat travel it counts towards milestone (if you can spend within that small duration)

well, no upper cap on the vouchers but there is cap on number of vouchers (3) that can be redeemed in one booking
moreover you can increase the effective discount by using MMT hotel / holiday GV which has 6% discount making it a 25.4% deal considering (1MR-1Rs for MB)
