Hi, Need some help. I upgraded my Amex MRCC card to a Platinum Travel Card on 6th Feb 2025. But when my bonus tracker showed up in the App, it was showing a negative amount i.e, -97,000. Now, when I raised an issue with the Amex support back in Feb, they said it's a known issue and they will fix it. But after multiple back and through, Today on 26-06-2025, I got the call from the Grievance team that I made a purchase of 97000, on 6th Feb, and got a refund on 7th Feb(Flipkart cancelled order, Fck Flipkart), since the Bonus tracker was added on 7th Feb and it takes net total i.e Total spends and refunds, since I got refund on 7th Feb when the bonus tracker was added, only the refund will be considered.
Now I have to pay an extra 97,000 to reach my milestone.
Same issue with the Joining bonus, they are saying the net total spend withing 3 months should be more than 15,000 which I don't qualify for.
I have raised a grievance on 12 June, as I didn't receive the Joining Bonus, so waiting for their response.
I have questions:
1. What can I do now, raise it to RBI, but amex said this is how our system works so I don't know.
2. I am 99% sure I upgraded my card on 6th June, and It showed up as a Platinum travel credit card on my app, and then I Bought the Phone on flipkart as It was a big purchase and I wanted to help it with my milestone, so is there a way to check the history as to when my card was upgraded? I have it in Amex chat that my card was upgraded on 6th Feb.
