Are you sure about it? I asked customer care through chat, they told it's prohibited and you won't get referral benefits if you are already existing customer.

I did this pre-RBI ban. Not sure if anything has changed recently. I already had MRCC and applied Plat Travel using my friend's referral and got it first year free.

Post ban in amex own referral working lol and existing paid card ppl also getting fyf in other variants

Earlier, I do have postpaid and electricity bill of my current address. But they denied to take these as address proof. They told me to send them either Voter, Aadhar, Public Sector Company's Gas bill or Any Government Id proof stating current address. Then I had to change my aadhar address to have card.
