All 5399 MCC not eligible for 5% CB - HDFC SWIGGY CARD

Apparently all 5399 MCC (DISCOUNT STORES) are not eligible for 5% Cashback on HDFC SWIGGY CARD. Recently purchased gift cards from Maximize using both HDFC SWIGGY and SBI CB. But only received 5% cashback in SBI CB and 1% cashback in HDFC SWIGGY CARD. Is this correct?

So basically no one knows if they will be getting the cashback or not until the bill is generated and cashback gets credited. So now it's risky to order as jwellery is in exclusion list of HDFC Swiggy.

Yes, you are correct. Even I ordered 1gm gold coin yesterday. It was showing cashback just before placing the order. Rest depends on luck.

I just checked, now it is not showing cashback for normal Grocery items. Maybe there is some technical error going on.

Maybe there are trying to differentiate the groceries from other purchases. Swiggy app early used to show cashback for even purchases under 100/- but there never got any cashback in reality. So, we can't trust that.

Yes you are correct, but at the same time, it depends on what merchant name you are getting, if you are getting merchant name linked to grocery purchase, you will receive cashback on other excluded products as well😀

yeah, swiggy card should provide cashback ideally... but you never know as jewelry is excluded from the cashback as per their TnCs. So, we cant even argue with them if they dont provide the cashback. Is there anyone whose statement is due in the next couple of days?

Gold coins sale is already done, right? I'm not able to see them today. Until yesterday, it was out of stock for me and now it's not there at all in swiggy
