do we already have a page , where we have most the Alliance Name and the corresponding airlines under that umbrella ? if not , it would be good to have one , as usually when someone plans a trip , he can look for available airlines to his route and then easily find from that chart that its partner with Alliance and how he can transfer for that?

There's no one single direct answer to your question. I do not know about LHR. For US, IME (biz class) the best ones would be Turkish, Lifemiles, Aeroplan, and United. This depends on location in US you would want to go as well. I personally do not prefer Turkish, as Turkish passes on YQ of the partner airline, but the others (Lifemiles, United and Aeroplan) since they have some specific advantages for me.

I think my answer is taken out of context here, or has created a confusion. So let me clear it. I am telling there’s no one size fits all. If I am traveling from NYC to DEL (or the other way around) I would normally prefer booking Aeroplan if I want to make a stop over on the way. The cheapest without YQ is lifemiles, but I have seen married segments don’t work well, and its a pain to deal with their customer service unless you know Spanish (IME, even if you know it’s a little pain to get it done). For United, I have seen fare at saver rates for the direct flight from DEL-ORD (currently flight is not available during winter schedule), and available to book only via United (United is notorious for not opening up Polaris saver fares on some routes and ORD-DEL is one). The advantage of Aeroplan is one can add a stopover for 5000 extra miles. Remember that for Aeroplan it’s a distance based chart, so fares between DEL-NYC is cheaper by 20000 miles than when you fly to Bangalore for example (I am talking about Biz class fares here).

Personally I feel that Aeroplan has one of the unique award charts that will allow you to squeeze more from your miles due to its generous award routing rules

Example Im going from Delhi to USA,
I should see North America, via Turkish - correct?

If i am going to London,
I should see Europe via Turkish correct?

Basically I select the destination Im going to and then see the miles needed.

If the airline is not going there directly, I should see the partner/alliance column?
Im new into this and just wanted to confirm my understanding of this chart?

In some of the YouTube video I have seen they mentioned if we book a flight in which our destination is mid flight (a stopping point), then it will be cheaper in comparison to booking a flight whose final destination is our destination..?
