Afraid of potential hazards caused by my split AC

I am afraid because our main circuit mcb tripped again and again 3 times yesterday whenever I put my AC on. Today, AC technician did multiple troubleshoots which caused MCB to trip 3 times to find root cause. Will tripping mcb again and again cause fire?

Last year, I purchased second hand LG split AC (2009 model) for 14K rupees. We use stabilizer with that AC. 12 days back the wire of AC caused huge spark. Till yesterday, everything was fine after AC technician intervened. Yesterday, AC caused MCB switch to trip whenever I switched on. That happened 3 times yesterday. Isn't it too much pressure on our mcb? Does tripping mcb again and again cause any danger?

AC technician found out the root cause - it's due to weak wires. He himself caused AC to trip mcb 4 times today as an experiment to check AC root cause. Now AC is working since last 40 minutes without any tripping after he fixed the wire. He suggested us to change the wires with some strong wire soon.

I am planning to call him again on Saturday. I am afraid of facing another hazard until he comes again on Saturday. I don't want either tripping mcb or ac wire to cause fire. What if it happens while sleeping?

I don't even have enough money to buy a new AC.

Tripping of MCB would not cause fire, not tripping when it should can cause. MCB is safety gate which stops currents whenever it sees too much flow. If you have fixed the cause which was taking too much current, then there is no issue. MCB tripping count is nothing to worry, it is like switch, it can handle multiple switovers with no issues.
Just make sure the cause of high current is actually fixed.

You don't need to buy new AC bro, what's the tonnage of your AC? If it's 2 ton or below. Buy the 4mm wires from the local market, preferably finolex or havells or any good company you are aware of and get that installed, that's it.

Also instead of calling AC technician, call that electrician who installed the wires in your home.

- If you are living on rent, call the landlord.
- If you are on flat/apartment, call the owner who sold you.

Electricians know more about your home than the AC technician.

Untill you get your wiring fixed prevent using heavy electronics items like washing machine , tv , etc and at night switch off your fridge ..
Load will be less on MCB and it will not trip .
