Currently discounts showing for flights only and not hotels. And it showing for me on the payment / summary page, before choosing which card i want to pay with.
Interesting! Wonder if they'll keep the discounts long term and if it's still limited 2 times usage per month

If they do keep and have set the usage limit per card instead of per account, it might make sense to get the add on cards finally which didn't make sense earlier because of the high joining and annual fees even for the plastic variants of add ons

Out of the world scenario with Mayura

Monthly 60000 with flights only. 2 international + 2 domestic.

CF - 1800
Discount - 9000
RP - 666+10666= 5666 rupees
Net profit monthly - 12866

Annual Profit - 154392.
Annual Fee - 7080

Net return = 147312 = 20.46%
Best for travel bloggers and business ppl who carries business from one country to another.

That is because, it was used online on an international website which convert their currency to indian money. So they were charged 1%. Its the same on many other cards from last few yrs already. No surprise there.

I am using idfc wow cc for the last 2yrs for all regular international spends on international lands. 0 means 0. I am sure its the same with mayura, unless specify specifically.
There is one international trip lined up for me this year. Now due to this, should I take Ashva card for forex or shall I go with fd based wow card? I don't have any forex card.. Atlas is 3.5%+ GST. So net to net it will be zero right ( 4% offline spends). So bit confused.. Shld I opt for another card or be as it is..

Get the idfc wow cc for peace of mind. Calculate your use to the approx and put that money in your idfc bank, u will earn more interest in a month than regular banks.

Get a 20k-30k fd wow cc. it got good interest. Amount is less. Pay your cc bill as you keep going forward.

I advice you to spend max 50%-60% of the limit, pay cc bill from your account. Limit will reset. Use cc again.

Now I checked the redemption value in IDFC portal for hotel bookings.
The prices of the hotel are little bit hiked up and when calculated with clear trip (prices cheaper) it is more or less the same. Used 5% SBI cashback.

Essentially % return for flights is 13.33%

How did you get the 0.5 forex markup?
In reddit form who uses this card has posted it that in his billing cycle it's 0.5 % reflected

Idfc mayura card was my primary card when I went to Singapore trip last year oct . I am 100% sure there was no extra charges .

There will be minor differences between google value vs actual money deducted in our account due to default network charges ( which is applicable for all the cards that also i tested last year by using 4 different cards )
