Yes correct,

Plus there are other cards in the market as well, magnus, reserve, amex etc. So it all comes down to which people got which cards.

For me idfc mayura is worth it for the metal cc collection and i am willing to close it from 2nd yr onward. Cause I have magnus + travel edge combo.

I am sure by may 2026, there will be few more credit cards in the market.

As for hotel, i got many to choose from like marriott, accor, taj, itc, etc. And they need us to book directly with them to get the hotel points and perks.
Magnus for burgandy?

That’s true! For a comparison just between Atlas and Mayura, would you say that my conclusion of Atlas still winning, is correct?

Look at this..

Flight from COK to London
July 30
Air india
21.30-11.30

IDFC
Price 24109
CF 600
Instant Disc with Mayura 3500
Final price - 21209
If in accelerated mode - 40X RP= 2825 equivalent
Net price - 18384

Travel EDGE with Atlas
Price 24866
CF 0
Instant Disc 0
Final Price 24866
RP at 10% accor - 2486 accor = 4475 rs
Net price - 20391.

Mayura easily beats Atlas.

Not considering the Milestone - as it is subjective.

2 important fallacies with respect to both

1) Mayura - the card makes much relevance, using the instant discount part, and post 20k milestone. If no instant discount - the value back is 13.33%, and then there is convenience fee also.

2) Atlas - the 18% value back is only if you are checking into Accor. Rest is always 10% value back.

Trying to reinvent it as travel card. Good attempt but still not worth the fees for renewal. Unless they introduce fee waiver for reasonable amount and more benefits on regular purchases it lag way behind other premium cards
They do not have fee waiver.

BUTTTTT

Spending 1500000 a year, gives you 15000 points. Which is equal to 7500 rupees (now with the revaluation). This negates the second year fees.

Also first year fee can be half negates by 1000*4 cashback.

Now Mayura is a big league card, worth its fee structure and Metal status

Redeem your airline partner points in atlas

Magnus for burgandy?
Nah normal magnus only
Can someone help me with discount code for hotel on app as I don't see it now
No fixed discount codes. I think its seasonal only for now.
That’s true! For a comparison just between Atlas and Mayura, would you say that my conclusion of Atlas still winning, is correct?
Axis will win, cause of redemption value + milestones values.

But these r for high spenders. And ia not practical for normal domearic flight and 1/2 nights hotel stay and then come back home. In those normal cases, idfc is winning big time for now.

The reward redemption quota is 150000 per month, thatd more than enuff for normal day to day use to a small weekend vacation with family. Or good for a 10days singapore tour as well.

Those who cant get infinia, should def get this instead. More value for your buck.

And it looks more cooler than atlas and no chik chik from axes.

Milestone story - how 1500000 per year would be on both the cards.

That's is 125000 per month. Consider 50-50 use. 62500 in flights and 62500 in non flights.

Atlas
Monthly rewards - 1250 + 3125 = 4375 EDGE
Annual = 52500 EDGE
Milestone = 10000 EDGE
Net - 62500 EDGE = 125000 Accor = 225000
Annual Fee = 5900
Net return = 219100 = 14.6%

Mayura
Monthly rewards = 666+2833+16667 = 20166 points = 10080 rupees
Flight instant discounts - 2k to 9k
CF - 2k to 3k
Net monthly 10080-13000
Net Annual -121000 - 156000
Milestone - 15000 points = 7500 rupees
Net Annual return = 128500-163500 rupees
= 8.56% - 10.9%

Caveats
1) 2.19 L in accor is a dream actuallu. Real life 50:50 conversion bw airlines and accor will yield 11.27%

2) Gold investments and purchases are not rewarding with Atlas but Mayura

Pts redemption
1524/-
Net returns = 18867/-
Offline spends altas wins as calculated by @Finchamp!
So even in international spends atlas wins..

Ah Atlas is what I need to continue

Essentially % return for flights is 13.33%
Adding to the above,
Atlas
Air India website
Kolkata to delhi
26th june
02:25 to 04:55
Total price : 6050 (including Convinence charges)
Maharaja points : 492 (1pt=1re)
Booking to AI website gives add 2%
Total = 574
Atlas : 302
1 EM = 2 partner points (say Air india)
302*2 =604
Total discount = 574+604 = 1178
Total price = 6050-1178= 4872/-

If you convert into Accor
Then 604*1.8= 1087 ( add discount of 483)
Total discount = 4872-483= 4389/-

Through Axis Travel Edge portal
Total price = 5334/-
( No convience charges)
Atlas = 265
Price = 5334-265=5069/-
1 EM = 2 partner pts
Discount = 530
Total price = 4804/-
Convert into Accor
530*1.8=954 ( add discount 424/-)
Net price = 4380/-

Here's a catch after flight and if you are the traveller who had enrolled for Air India / indigo airline membership then you can claim your points.
So maharaja pts = 468
Returns = 4804-468=4336/-
Net returns = 4380-468=3912/-
( through Accor)

Now I don't know why in air india website it's too high for the same flight. Generally it matches with OTA prices except few hundreds and here it's almost 500 diff 🤔

If you get same price in AI website then atlas wins hands down. Also to be noted is Atlas has got tier based benefits and on other hand Mayura has got 0.5 forex mark up fees (yes it's not Zero).

How did you get the 0.5 forex markup?

Out of the world scenario with Mayura

Monthly 60000 with flights only. 2 international + 2 domestic.

CF - 1800
Discount - 9000
RP - 666+10666= 5666 rupees
Net profit monthly - 12866

Annual Profit - 154392.
Annual Fee - 7080

Net return = 147312 = 20.46%

So are the discount codes gone or do they show up at the final check out page?

Earlier the homepage showcased the discount percent for specific card variants
Currently discounts showing for flights only and not hotels. And it showing for me on the payment / summary page, before choosing which card i want to pay with.

In reddit form who uses this card has posted it that in his billing cycle it's 0.5 % reflected

Check this thread
Thread 'IDFC Mayura: Hidden Utility Charges on "Zero Forex" Card for International txns' https://www.technofino.in/community...zero-forex-card-for-international-txns.35678/
That is because, it was used online on an international website which convert their currency to indian money. So they were charged 1%. Its the same on many other cards from last few yrs already. No surprise there.

I am using idfc wow cc for the last 2yrs for all regular international spends on international lands. 0 means 0. I am sure its the same with mayura, unless specify specifically.
