Is HDFC deliberately failing high value CC bills ?

Recently, 3 CC bills - 70K+, 98K+ n 85K+ - failed. SBI, ICICI n Axis.

I had to pay them manually. No problem at all while paying manually.

When you pay manually - by using HDFC DC - you get no cashback.

Is HDFC failing to pay the queued up high-value bills - DELIBERATELY ?

Surprisingly, till now, low-value bills - less than 10K+ CC bills gets paid n NEVER faced any failures.
They need authorization for high value transactions but we fail to receive the authorization notifications many a times

Why do they need such a thing, if the same CCs are being paid for the last so many YEARS ? I can understand, if it is added in this month.

Moreover, why an email can't be sent instead of calling only once.

No sir in starting of august my small value CCs 4911, 3735 all got failed, and 24000 for SBI was approved, but till then i already had paid manually so it came back in account only after 5 days.

email and sms both are sent sir simultaneously for the notification of authorisation requirement. last month there was a link in the mail i received on which we have to approve using OTP.

I will speak here only my experience. For me HDFC smartpay successfully paid more than 20k bills for 2 SBI cards and 1 AXIS card. But I was asked to provide consent for SBI only till date. I am not sure then how my other SBI card and AXIS bill which was more than 20k got processed without asking any consent.
 
How does it work? Do they send an email/SMS with an OTP?
mere pas mail aur sms dono aaye the asking for authentication.

iss baar sbi ke liye ni pucha but txn went through, last month 2 axis ke liye aaya tha aur txn ho bhi gaya tha successful.
 
Can't pay hdfc cc bill with it? And do I have to setup autopay or manual payment also gives cashback?
Already answered in this thread. Try to read initial post as well as few previous pages of this thread.

There is no option to pay HDFC CC bill using HDFC Smartpay. Only Autopay bill instructions using DC will give cashback.
