🆘 Need Guidance: Flipkart Axis Credit Card Cancelled Due to “Non-Personal Usage” — What’s My Next Step?

Hi TF community,

Today (18th June 2025), I received an unexpected and disappointing email from Axis Bank saying that my Flipkart Axis Credit Card (XX2915) has been cancelled due to suspected non-personal or commercial usage, with all cashback revoked and existing EMIs foreclosed.

They’ve cited transactions between 01-Feb-2025 and 30-Apr-2025, mostly from Flipkart.

Context:

* I spent around ₹5 lakhs during this period
* Nearly 90% of orders were delivered to just 3 addresses (mine and my brothers’)
* All purchases were for personal/family use – gadgets, gifts, household items, etc. No reselling or business usage
* Axis has now asked me to upload invoices or proof within 30 days

One more thing:
I had raised an ombudsman complaint earlier in April regarding a separate unresolved issue with Axis. That complaint is still open, and I have been waiting for resolution for over a year. I’m beginning to think this action might also be related to that escalation, though I can’t be sure.

Need expert guidance:

1. How should I proceed with Axis on this? Should I respond or escalate?
2. Has anyone else faced this kind of closure?
3. Should I contact the nodal officer or RBI CMS?
4. Will this impact my credit score or future card eligibility with Axis?

Appreciate any help or experience shared. Thanks in advance.

See this :

Income - around 12L

Indicated in Application - 60 to 80L

Can we believe these figures ?

I am sure ITR may NOT be for 12L.

If this is how a CC customer behaves and subits fictious n wrong data, it is considered normal n right n correct.

If the Bank does initiate some action, it is considered unusual n wrong n incorrect.

Strange logic.

Waiting to know the ITR figure. The real n actual ITD assessed ITR figure.

As I said earlier, more factual n correct info needs to be shared to have a complete n true picture.

I am NOT PRYING.

I am NOT interested in other's financial figures.

I am NOT interested in moral ethics of others.

I DID NOT Volunteer to help.

But, if I am asked for my opinion and judgement on such diputed issues, I need to know the full, correct n verifiable facts.

Hope you (n others, too) understand.

My salary is that. I have huge incomes from inheritance such as agricultural and rental incomes. As well as my investments are performing good. Got investments in sub 8 digits

Then, show these assuring financial figures/details to Axis which might prove that 5L spending in 3 months is absolutely normal with those sorts of income streams. And, nothing unusual, at that.

If I were to be Axis, I might say sorry n restore your card - if the given figures are official n verifiable.

To possibly try and understand Axis' side, these 2 statements need a lot more elaboration -
1. How many orders were there in all?
2. How many addresses were involved in all?
3. Can you share an aggregated list of these purchases (e.g. 2 iPhones, 3 HP Laptops etc) ?

For a 3 month period, anything over a couple of dozen orders shipped to half a dozen addresses and variety of lifestyle items or multiple quantities of same items are sure to raise red flags.

While you escalate the issue with RBI Ombudsman be very careful as they may be closed ypur complaint by stating previous complaint pending, recently closed or treated as same earlier complaint. So it'll be better file complaint directly by CMS website through OTP and mark the complaint as new and notjing with old. There is option there CMS portal.

Many customers facing the same issue, so I am Sharing with you and remember add 100 per day compensation as per rbi rule along with mental agony and harassment.

Good wishes.
