Wdym, I seen on reddit someone getting physical card without any request from customer side. Even if hdfc charge later for the physical card issuance, it's only 100rs standard fee.

I think hdfc started issuing physical card due to increasing number of merchant disabling UPI on cc. They also issued this card as 1st card to many on affiliated platforms like cashkaro. Now with physical card they can avail pos merchant swipe discounts.
