HDFC New Credit Card Issue - Old Inactive Credit Card Reason Rejection

I have applied for HDFC Credit Card in October 2022 and it got rejected due to inactive credit card which was not known to me. I have been issued HDFC Credit Card in 2012 and in 2016 it got renewed and it was not under my knowledge as no one from the bank called me or intimated me about the renewal, later i was not using HDFC Credit Card as i was not aware of the card active status.

But with the same reason the new application has been declined from the bank side as the old issued card was active till August 2022. Is there any process to revive and get the new card from new application or should i wait for 6 months as informed by the bank for the new application. FYI I am holding Classic Banking with HDFC Bank.

what came of this? is it possible to activate an inactive card (365 day) from hdfc or do you need to cancel it out completely and apply for a new one?

I have hdfc card that was issued long back. I asked to close a decade back. And then again in 2024. But still shows as inactive in netbanking. According to CS mail in 2024, it is closed. How long does it take to stop showing in netbanking?

It wont. My HDFC card which was issued in 2012 is still on Netbanking. I just see sometimes and feel Nostalgic about it.

ICICI shows my old closed savings account on imobile since 2019 too, staff said their backend is trash, to just ignore.

From NetBanking you can deregister the card but the card still be seen in Mobile app.
There is no way it can be removed from Mobile app currently.
