Feedback bro.
Ads are personalized by Google. If Google thinks you're interested in those topics, it'll show that
Lol. What topics? Sexuality? Tell me who is the celibate monk here.
Adult/ Sex ads :allowed" on this forum enable it. Been on lots of forums, never seen it.

PS: Sorry owner, if you cant handle good feedback, blocking will have to happen to your ads.

Not at all. If anything all the forums I visit should also be doing the same as TFino.

Enough of attacking me for giving honest feedback based on flaw on the forums AD settings. :p Go get your cheap thrills somewhere else :p

This was a one off Adult ad out of lots of other ANNOYING BIG BANNER ones TF shows. If they dont want feedback why ask.

And yes, even in incognito mode The Pirate Buy (for TV & Docu series downloads) still shows adult ads. A lot of other sites dont. Its SITE SETTINGS related.

Using ad, tracking blockers and privacy enhancement add-ons might lead to undesirable ads as this breaks Google Analytics and measurement stuff.

And not sure why very often when this happens it's like Google starts with weird stuff first as if punishing you.

Been using uBlock Origin for long time and Ad Block variants before that.

It hasnt stopped their "targetting" believe me. They know what we think before we think it. Any conversation.

Met a buddy at a Novotel and Accor got mentioned during billing for 10 seconds. Next day.. FB Ad. Accor.

Which is why it was strange for this "erotica" ad cause this has never happened before; across 10+ yrs of surfing. Go figure.

No other forum or site ever.

If technofino team is interested, we can help you guys with Header Bidding. It's the latest advertising tech in the market. Multiple Ad Partners including Google enter into an auction and the highest paying bid wins the impression so a always a win win situation because everything goes via an auction process. You can choose the ad unit locations of your choice.

Again, just a feedback from my side as I work in the adtech field and I'm not even a part of sales team from my company, just a suggestion. Otherwise I'll always be a member here for the great content :) feel free to ignore my above message.

It's not that they heard you say Accor and then showed the Ad... Rather the very thought of Accor was influenced into your willful thinking from recent past and then it was served as an Ad... So yes, these MoFo's algo have become so advanced that they can predict what we will think even before we think... Their influence is just flabbergasting...

Yes. Had worked with data mining so lots of ways to correlate; accurately as well as faultily. Been to Novotel many times, never used the word before, but.. anyways.

I am new here, but while going through answers there's an ad banner in the middle of the posts. It's quite big and distracting from the information we're looking for, I believe it should be at the end of the posts.

Agree, I'm seeing dozens of completely unrelated and even uncomfortable ads quite often.

You really need to tweak those settings. It's been months we have gotten lots of scammy ads, charities, sexual toys/services/pills, pharmaceuticals, gambling, betting, games and others. It has improved, but still gives lots of very weird and even borderline sketchy and scammy ads.

I'm sorry but just use an ad blocker, I really really recommend NextDNS DNS ad blocker.

And I don't wanna sound insensible, but this kind of charity raises all sorts of red flags regarding dignity/consent , ethics, emotional manipulation, desensitization, etc. I know their intent might be good, but there's better and more sensible/respectful ways to do it.

That being said, why aren't you blocking such categories?!

Gambling/betting, pharma, sexually suggestive content, religious/political content, sensationalism, and all those super shady apps regarding loans and financial services that are basically a scam...

I'm getting tons of ads that you can tell right away it's a scam/fraud attempts, like those unregulated loan apps/services.

I second this and the above comments.

Ive been getting ads that are quite uncomfortable.

Like the one in the picture above for instance and even a lot of political content.

Plus recently, the ads have become very intrusive ( full page ads where you have to click "x" market to close it) and very frequent.

Also, do NOT give any info to Ketto.

They're known for spam calling and giving your details to other charities. They'll push so hard over calls and WhatsApp, manipulate and harass you into donating.

Think of it as BankBazaar, scum of the Earth. The consequences is hundreds of calls and spam SMS over the span of a few months.

You gotta be careful with NGO/Charities and Ketto is a million light years away from being a trustworthy one.

If you do some research there's even allegations of them basically pairing up with certain medical organizations/hospitals to "benefit" themselves.

Look into this keto ad
Without login I opened tf ..
I could see it for 2 minutes..
Banking related ads are good not donation like keto

NGOs are fine, but in this case the ones popping up lately in Google Ads (or you could even say the ones who use Google ads for marketting in India) are usually pretty abhorrent so I'd be eager to look into it and probably block them altogether if they're similar.

For those getting creepy, uncomfortable, or irrelevant ads in the Chrome Android app, try the following:

Turn off "Ad topics," "Site-suggested ads," and "Ad measurement" in the Chrome Android app Settings under Privacy and security.

This solution worked for me.
What a about new PPL coming first time to tf .
