Axis Magnus Rumor with burgundy axis magnus could be LTF (by Sep 2023 it should be official by axis i think you never know though)

Just received confirmation from bank officials that they will provide Magnus LTF for Burgundy customers from Sep 1st onwards

@palvannan Can you please tell me if normal ER transfer gets deducted from total ER transfer quota? Currently I have 7+L points and will have additional 10+L points before end of next year. Burgundy Magnus is possible only after January(maintaing 10L balance since Nov). I can transfer 5L points at 5:2 this calendar year but I want avoid it if possible; your input will be much appreciated.

Yes it is better to transfer 5L points before the end of the year , if you are going to get the new Burgundy Magnus card only in January. And with your likely earns of 8 to 10 lakh points next year , you can max out 10L transfer next year at 5:4

If you have got the card , then activate it but don't spend on it. The MB bucket should appear after that at least in a day or two . Else drop a mail to PE or travel edge support about the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. My dilemma is that should I go for point transfer of 5L@5:2(for 2023)+10L@5:4(for 2024) OR possible 17L@5:4(in 2024). I definitely don't want only transfer of 10L@5:4. I think someone with an active Burgundy Magnus would be able to clarify this. Thanks in advance!

Alternatively schedule the big spends in the first quarter of next year as much as possible, so that you can fully transfer 10L points before March 2024 at 5:4 . And after that every year in Januar/Feb you can transfer the maximum number of points possible that were accumulated in the previous year . And later in the year transfer the balance points required to reach the 10L quota , as soon as requisite points are credited due to spends in later months .

Yes the 10L points limits/quota is per calendar year for BM card and 5L for the normal magnus card , but I suggested 5L this year itself , because there is a possibility you may not get the new Burgundy Magnus card in January for some unknown reason . There is no specific advantage in transferring all the points in the first quarter . Just to avoid any policy changes by Axis later in the year on the ratio as well as amount of points transferable in a year .If you don't have any immediate need then you can spend as per your schedule and transfer on a quarterly basis the accumulated points and not wait till the end of the year . If you are somehow able to hold both old and new magnus cards in 2024 , you will be able to get 5L + 10L points ( but ratio may differ) , but as per Axis policy they can issue only one Card of the same brand/variant and not both versions to same person.

Frequent policy changes are one thing I totally forgot while planning my points transfer, even though Axis is famous for that. Thought of transferring another 5L points before upgrading in 2024, but I am now worried that might eat into the BM 10L quota since the limit is for customer ID. Thanks for reminding me, and like you suggest, it's best to earn and transfer maximum points at the earliest.

Transfer to Accor if you are so confused sir because with Accor you have international stays + even few hotels in India where you can stay and it has all the types of hotel included and gives a flat value of 1.8inr.

Found one more bug.

Once ur magnus burgundy points reaches below 100, it goes back to old system, where magnus burgundy shows as zero and everything in edge points and starts offering edge points transfer as 5:4.

Transferred August and September milestone points this way.

Now just gyftr 1000-2000 points remaining to be credited.

Another Alternative for this bug. With this, u can bring MB points to exactly zero. Useful only when you haven't received any magnus burgundy points after u received large bonus points.

The difference is transfer charges in points, like a hotel chain, which refunds revenue bookings in points only.

Also, have one more query, i have 80k ER points in my existing Magnus Card, once i upgrade to Magnus Burgundy, can i transfer out these existing 80k points at 5:4 ratio?

No, call again with different customer care and ask to upgrade, offer is valid till Jan 31st.
