• Opened metro savings account with Jana SFB (AMB requirement is just 5K or TRV of 2L). One can try with Regular savings account as well which requires only 2.5K AMB or 25000 TRV.
• Rupay Select DC issuance charges are 499+GST and AMC is 499+GST. This card have Rupay wellness benefit as well.
• I have FD with Jana SFB with 8.5% interest for the duration between 2 years to 3 years.

Looks a good way of getting Rupay Select DC with wellness benefit considering AMB requirement is just 2.5K/5K and issuance charges and AMC is not that much high as compared to the benefits which we can get out of this DC.

i have uco zero balance savings account but i am getting to apply for Rupay select Debit card its annual fee is 750 so best deal i think but need more info on other cards too

Union Bank of India provides lowest fees.... FYF and AMC is 400 + GST. I got the card by physically applying at branch. Card change fees was applied instantly.(100 + GST). Rest of procedure is smooth and got card in 15 days.

Depends on Card. I registered on rupay select portal with my UBI Select DC and PNB Rupay CC. OTT and cab offers are applicable only on UBI Select DC but these offers are not available under PNB Rupay CC.

I am also not sure whether offers will be available on renewal. Dropped mail on CC but no reply till now.

I applied for UCO Bank Rupay Select Debit card through their mbankig app process was very smooth & card generated without a min. Issuance charges are 1000 & renewal is 750 all rupay select benefits are applicable according to their website

Applied for Canara Bank Rupay Select debit card and received in 10 days. FYF and 1000 for renewal. I have a regular savings account with them.

In 2024: Is this FYF still valid?

I use an iob account for inward remittance, found an option today to upgrade my debit card to select. Instantly 413 rs got debited. I guess this is the cheapest rupay select debit card out there. Card would come in 7 days, will update once i get it.

413 may be the replacement charge for card. AMC is still 800+GST.

Is this still valid/ possible to do via IOB?

Nothing is written in welcome letter regarding waiver. It is FYF. Regarding 1L MAB, it is only written in website. Mine is normal account with 500 INR AMB requirement. So far nothing is deducted for maintaining 1 Lakh AMC from my account

So I opened the digital savings account with Union bank and now instead of Rupay select card, I'm holding a Rupay platinum card . So my question to people now is, how do I get out of this situation. The branch people say that they can upgrade my account but I'll have to maintain 15k/quarter balance which I can do, however if there's another way, then I'd rather not do that. But they also say I have to submit an application, and then they'll process it, which is kind of a hassle for me lol. But yea, any suggestions are welcome.

I went to PNB and handed form with tick on Rupay select. Today I got card. I have a dormant account there for like 10 years. Activated account and applied. Balance was around Rs.3K only.

Which Form was this? Helped you bypass their "Min Account Type" requirement? Fees paid?

In case of BoI and UBI there's an issuance fee of equivalent amount i.e., 800+GST & 400+GST as per their website or they aren't charging that in reality?

Canara Bank DCs appear to be FYF - But in actual they aren't. If you try to hotlist the DC before completion of card anniversary year- they will charge you !

Is Union Bank still the lowest fee + lowest MAB? Can I open the UBI Savings Bank Account (SBGEN) having INR 1000 MAB and still get Rupay Select Debit Card issued for INR 400+GST?

Take a Rupay Select Credit or Debit card. 1180 is not worth paying as it effectively nullifies the benefits, go for one which are sub 500,

if you ask me Union Bank Rupay Select Debit card has lowest charges or PNB Rupay Select Credit Card which has charge of Rs 590.

I had a previous relation with bank which was closed. Went to bank to open new account. They told me that first they will open normal 2.5K account and later will upgrade to required account. This happnned in mid nov. After one month I get info from bank, statement came in mail having ifsc details of my previous branch with new account number. customer care doesnt work, it says account number doesnt exist, mobile banking app shows BOB lite account was opened (I can use mobile banking because i had previously registered on app. New used can't even register.) Debit card shows rupay plat but cant see cvv. Cant even apply any new card through app as it says account not eligible. Postman didnt deliver physical dc on home and was diverted to branch. Didnt have time to visit branch since 2 week.

CRUX - Don't go with BOB right now. Their systems are effed up. My sister also opened new account, she doesnt have access to net banking, mobile banking, ecom transaction on DC. I have heard Mahila Shakti account can get Select at 3K MAB

For UNION BANK - They are not issuing select now for normal variants. Debit cards are marked for specific account. Select I believe requires 1L MAB (AMC = 0). 15K MAB account give Rupay Plat, and normal 1.5K account gives Rupay Classic, NCMC

Is this from your and others actual recent experience with Canara? Is there a thread that reports this?

Can you please clarify how to evade that 1k? Is it charged only after 1 year? (Cause some banks apply thier charges at start of year etc).

1. Do we just cancel & close the CARD and/ or ACCOUNT before 12th month/ Date comes around?
2. Do / Can we just close it SOONER once we've leveraged & exhausted its quota of BENEFITS?

It did not even go to otp page and the transaction just abruptly ended. I thought it was a website issue but then I realised one day that it was card’s issue. It happened for another week that It did not work on any website. Luckily after a week it started working or else I had planned to go to branch.
Check your card and if it does not work on any website then wait for a week and try again. Since i only use this card for rupay benefits i don’t mind it being unreliable otherwise it would have been an issue.

Hi. I'm planning to get a Rupay select DC with my existing Central Bank account or IOB account. How does the OTT subscription work? Is it mapped to the mobile number or name linked to the bank account? Or that doesn't matter?

I mean can i get a Rupay select DC in a family member's name in their account and activate OTT in my name?
