HOW TO GET IDFC CC for such scenario.

Hi guys, i am already having many cc with various banks, in my 4 year old credit history there is 0 delayed payment or something like that, cibil score is also good (776 currently) , other bank cc with good limit, still whenever i apply i get error (attaching screenshots)

Whether using a fresh number or anything still i am getting same type of errors.

Tried having 25k mab account , 10k mab account , even if maintaining near to 1L balance i was getting only wow cc as pre-approved. Closed all above accounts currently only having niyo idfc 0 balance account.


What can be done to get idfc cc, as currently having 5L limit on apay icici, was thinking of getting idfc wealth , but every time i try i am getting same errors and then i leave it as it is.

Should i close above 0 balance account open idfc select or wealth account with initial cheque to get cc, or any other ways.


Kindly share your thoughts and if anyone can have some good and contacts or any agents contact in idfc please share number in inbox.

How much salary you put in ? I entered 2 lac per month and it offered Wealth card !

I entered 35L and in credit card section also entered 5L still got only select option.. dekhta hu after getting select will try for wealth. Baki jo mila apply kar dia Otherwise select is also good. Only bogo offer its upto250 and in wealth its 500 , other than that most of the benefits which are of my use are similar, forex and golf i never use

Have apay later + Flipkart pay later with 30k and 70k limit respectively.. i tried mailing regarding the issue now able to apply after nearly 1.5years probably ( trying since it lunched its cc )

What did you mention in your email?
Did you attach screenshots of "unable to proceed" and "application already in process"? Can you share your email format?

Many of us are just getting "We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later." error. In this case, I don't know if sending them mail would work.
I had tried mailing them few times but I received this reply:
"With reference to your Credit Card Application no <...>, we regret to inform you that we are currently unable to process the application, as it does not meet our Bank policy.

Kindly note that these credit policies are internal and may vary from bank to bank and we are unable to cancel the application as the same was rejected."

I would like to mention something here . IDFC systems are weird . Here are my 2 cents on them .

Application stuck issue arises when we leave application in between . I have exhausted 2 mobile no in this way which never works even after an year .
So today I applied with 3rd mobile no., they offered me WOW credit card . I don't want that . So click on "Back" button which will then ask for your feedback that why u want to cancel application . Write anything and proceed . Your lead will be removed . Now after 30 seconds, I changed salary to 2lac per month and choose my existing card as ICICI Sapphiro with 4.2l limit (earlier I was manually typing Amazon Pay which wasn't in their list).

After entering salary and existing card limit , it showed Wealth card LTF with 5lac limit and No Income documents required . Went ahead with VKYC. Will get confirmation , perhaps in a day or two . Fingers crossed . One of my friend took Millennia in the same way with his existing card limit of 1.05lacs.

Current update : I guess my application will be rejected as they came for office verification which wasn't successful . Office verification didn't happened for my friend though . What he did was even though he isn't employed , he put office domain name in the Office mail ID. IDFC didn't even conducted email verification and neither office physical verification. Now I will probably apply after 45 days when my leave will be over and I will be at my office location in Delhi !!

Based on your concern, we would like to inform you that your last credit card application number, <...>, was rejected as it did not meet the bank's internal policy, and this may not be a reflection of your credit worthiness. In the future, if you qualify for the IDFC FIRST Bank credit card, we will reach out to you.

We thank you for your interest in IDFC FIRST Bank products and services.

Further, we would like to let you know that once the application is processed and declined, the same application cannot be cancelled.

Moreover, we request you to wait for the bank to notify you about the Credit card offer on your account.

We would like to assure you that we would keep you notified if we have any upcoming offers for you in this regard via our mobile App or through SMS / Email on your registered contact details. We thank you for your interest in IDFC FIRST Bank products and services.

I don't know how their "bank's internal policy" is to reject applications based on mobile number, DoB and names 🤦‍♂️. Now trying with their nodaldesk@idfcfirstbank.com and pno@idfcfirstbank.com.

For me got a call for current address verification when i was in office 😂 i told him mostly no one will be there at home he said he will come later.

I got approved without any office/home verification. After vkyc, it was approved within 1 hour.

I got approved without any office/home verification. After vkyc, it was approved within 1 hour.

I don't know , IDFC is weird. I wasn't approved despite having 25k MAB savings account with them too and a long banking relationship !!

No it's proceeding but only giving wow card I talk to idfc customer regarding this they said if ur pincode is not from metro city is only showing u wow card

For me, even trying with different mobile doesn't work. It does take me to the next page but when I fill my salary, other bank card details and proceed, then it shows application already exists (probably as its linked to same PAN) and contact banker@idfcfirstbank.com who turn out to be absolutely helpless and useless...

Looks like there was an interruption in your IDFC First Bank credit card application. Try now. <link>. *T&C apply." and "A few clicks to credit card like no other. We noticed your IDFC First Bank credit card application <app_no.> is incomplete. To continue, just click here - <link>".

I wasn't getting them earlier, so I decided to open it and now I am able to proceed further. Currently, it is just showing me IDFC select cc as pre-approved with 2L limit. I don't have option to enter my salary/c2c details but atleast able to apply for it.

I don't know what changed but looks like they did something on the backed and issued a pre-approved offer against my number, since I was unable to apply the regular route. I am planning to go ahead with it for now since I am not sure if I would be issued wealth card right now (even though I do have few cards with 5L+ limit)
