Hotel Points Accor Platinum didnt gave free breakfast for stay plus free night?

Hi,

I became Accor platinum using Accor plus and China program...
I booked 1 stay plus free night provided by Accor Plus.
I asked hotel that I am a Platinum but they said I am not eligible for free breakfast as the room is booked using stay plus free night. Below is the mail I got from them.
They are also saying I am an ACCOR PLUS Platinum but not ALL Platinum... Are there 2 Platinum statuses as mentioned in email? ALL Platinum and ALL Accor Plus Platinum? Please look into my mail ... If that is true, then this status I got by buying Accor China is a waste.

They didn't even allowed me to bill food charges to room and pay by points. Instead they told buffet must be paid in cash. Upon sending a mail after checkout, they are sorry for this.

There is no difference in platinum status between the two. The stay plus night condition of no breakfast cud be the issue. But they could have given the breakfast complimentary

Who did you mailed? Hotel or accor support team? I had same situation is one of the hotels in singapore. They asked to settle in cash, although it could have been easily reduced by 1000 ALL points redemption

1. My issue is that I became Platinum after booking the hotel and just before staying there.
so Breakfast is not provided with stay plus free night. Had I booked after becoming platinum ,by default Accor will show breakfast rates.

2. Hotel where I stayed had no lounge. If there is a lounge, I can go there and show platinum status and have breakfast though I have booked room before becoming Platinum... So I wasn't provided breakfast for free.

3. To pay by points, you have to pay a 200$ pre-auth via card while chekcin in... Then you can bill to the room when ever you dine there.
While checkout, they will burn points and reverse your 200$ transaction to your card.

Yes, pre auth is fine, I always do that on international trips. My issue was with Ibis Novena. They took room fees as points, but for food they gave me excuses that its not allowed in their hotel and its something only 5 Star hotel allows. I am pretty sure they were lying

In your case, did you not make any pre auth?

I stayed in Novotel singapore on kitchener.
While making reservation, I didnt see option to burn my points. So I mailed them after making the booking.They told me as per hotel policy, out of 5 paid nights, I can pay by points for 3 nights and 2 nights by cash. But while checkin I just asked them to burn the points. They accepted and I just paid taxes.

Coming to food, they took pre-auth. But we had dinner only on one day at the hotel. There was an indian dinner buffet offer going on(~18$ per person). We were very exhausted that day. So I forgot about my points. I asked if JCB is accepted and used Rupay-JCB as it has 25% cashback offer.

Only on my stay plus free night(6th day), I was rejected free breakfast and even payment by points at the restaurant. Even the reception lady said its restaurant's discretion. So we ate light breakfast outside the hotel as anyways we will be checking out and heading to airport lounge.


So I contacted CC via Accor APP about free bf and they fwded it to hotel and they replied in a big mail saying I was Accor Plus Platinum but not ALL platinum. But that is wrong... There is no such thing as ALL Plat or Accor Plus Plat. Booking should be made after becoming Platinum so that we can see only rooms with breakfast option by default. Else hotel may not accept as they consider booking T&C as final.
However they apologized for not accepting payment by points for breakfast and would make sure it wont be repeated.
