Need help on buying Printer

Twice a day? Is that even normal?

I am still using the initial ink in my Brother Inktank printer for last 2 years. No issues whatsoever. Just leave the printer powered on in standby mode. It does self cleaning once during day time. It is the best one we have after years of Canon and HP inkjet printers and cartridges.

I currently use a Brother monochrome laser printer, but I am seriously considering an ink tank AIO now, particularly the Brother DCP-D525W. My requirement is to take a few colour prints (about 10 to 15 pages) once every three weeks or so. Since my usage will be infrequent, will I face issues like clogged nozzles, ink drying, print head damage or will printing at this interval be enough to keep the printer in normal working condition?

I bought T426w about 6 months back. My use is very infrequent. But it has been working pretty good till now.

Yes. Same. Have not changed the initial ink. using for 3-4 years. Rarely use for printing.

I did read your reply. I wasn’t aware that the new Brother inktank AIO models run daily maintenance cycles. Based on the inputs from you and others, I think I will go ahead with my plan to buy the Brother DCP-T525.

I am using HP MFP 126NW since 2016. Current model is available around 21-22K. So far, except for one paper tray roller, I have not changed anything. During covid it used to print about 200-300 pages a month. now about 10-15 pages a week. Scanner is used 2-3 times a day.
It uses 88A cartridge and compatible cartridges are available around Rs.500. The number of pages from a cartridge depends on the type of content to be printed and the darkness of printing opted in setting. For normal text printing, about 1000-1300 pages are possible.
