Millennia Convert Your HDFC Millennia Credit Card to Rupay Network by just a phone call

Hi Friends,

Inspired by @prateekm03 and his post here https://www.technofino.in/community/profile-posts/10003/ today, I have called HDFC customer care (📞 1800 1600) and successfully raised a request for conversion of my Mastercard Millennia Credit Card to Rupay Millennia Credit Card. No questions will be asked. Take max. 5 minutes.

This is what I was informed by the phone banking executive.
1. All features and benefits will remain same.
2. LTF cards will remain LTF.
3. Request will be processed in maximum 10 days.
4. Rewards points/ cashback (accrued and upcoming) will be transferred to the new card.
5. Running balance Statement will also be transferred.
6. Card will be delivered to my address and the old card will be deactivated.

Things that I did not asked, but expecting...
1. It will work on UPI and give benefits of 5% at preferred merchants and 1% in other eligible cases. Will update later.

Why I did this?
1. India first. Reducing the fund outflow from India, particularly to arrogant US.
2. Rupay hai toh jindegi hai.
3. Easy to use UPI cards using scan and pay features. Plus 1% upto 1000 cashback monthly.
4. My TNI card only giving 0.5% outside the TNI app. So a better choice.
5. Automatically extended the validity of the card.
6. Some secret hacks. Won't disclose even in DM.
7. I have never got any limit upgrade from HDFC so hoping this change will bring something new for me.
8. Additionally, this card has milestone benefits 1k for quarterly 1L spends. So, yes 2.0% UPI achievable.

Updates:
1. Received the confirmation about raising the request immediately.
2. Card generated on next working day (11-Aug-2025) evening around 7:30 pm. Balance transferred.
3. Add on applied on 12-Aug, generated same day.
4. Primary card received on 14-Aug. Added to upi app.

I am planning to purchase a lapi worth 49k...and when I used my DCB card it is showing 4750 rs discount, but when I am using one of my mutual friend hdfc card, it is showing 6750 rs discount....frnd card start with the following 4 digits 5181

Is their any specific reason for that?.

On that thread, both diners and rupay card holders were facing difficulties to avail instant discount, Even premium card like DCB was offering less discount.
The problem was HDFC didn't include the rupay card bin to that offer. The thread was not conclusive about if it was fixed later or not.But HDFC ended the extra discount offer for all the card network according to that thread.

If the same thing happens with Millennia again we have to contact HDFC to include the Rupay card bins to instant discount offer.

I can confirm as I got the highest discount on my hdfc moneyback rupay

Dont worry. It was some short lived error which was fixed later.
I can confirm as I got the highest discount on my hdfc moneyback rupay

If it happens then it would be record breaking for MB+

I am actually happy with this low maintenance CC.
In the previous month MB+ RuPay did 3 miracles on BBD.

1. gave a whopping 11K instant discount
2. regular reward points too earned
3. as my spend was near to 47K, I spent 3K via UPI and crossed 50K milestone . got 500inr voucher for this.

I have been ridiculing this card calling it MDC, but at the end it played a Hidalgo (excellent movie watch it) and rewarded me where no prem cards could do.

With this, MB+...

My father's MB+ card closed for non-usage a year back, not aware of that card cuz I am not on TF that time.. 🙁

Remember that hdfc have a bug
In sales rupay hdfc cards sometimes offers less discount and other network more ( based on offer some doesn't apply to hdfc rupay 🌚)

There was a thread about this too ig.

Depend on new Card BIN, RuPay Millennia CC is old BIN. Already enabled on all Flipkart/Amazon sales offer.

Last time, this issue of lesser discount happened with the Pixel RuPay card but after raising a complaint it was fixed. The problem wasn’t there with other HDFC RuPay credit cards.

Last bbd I had MoneyBack+ on rupay and I did get the instant disc. No issues on the network.

Depend on new Card BIN, RuPay Millennia CC is old BIN. Already enabled on all Flipkart/Amazon sales offer.

Kya baat kar rahe ho saare dcb/rupay hdfc me issue tha khud hi reply diye ho usme yaha alg bol rhe only pixel.
Even i checked that time with my mb+ it was same.
Btw chondo ho gaya aage sales me dekha jaayega.

My old card had an FYF and the annual fee was supposed to start from September 2025, which is next month. Will the annual fee for the new card start in September 2025, following the old card's cycle, or will it start in August 2026, based on the new card's issuance? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Same My experience was really great also. I dialed the premium service number, 1800 266 3310) chose the credit card option press 2, entered my last 4 digits and then pressed 9 to speak to an executive. It was all so easy and hassle-free. I got through to an executive right away! I told them I wanted to convert my Millennia Visa Card to RuPay and they were like "okay sir, let me just check". And then boom, within like 2 seconds they told me that I could definitely do it!

The whole process was super smooth, I mean they raised the request. I got a confirmation message and email instantly. They told me that my new card would be dispatched within 3-4 days after approval and that it would be sent to my home address. I was like wow, that's quick

Now , just waiting to see how long it takes for my new card to arrive.

What will be the best option for BBDs. Rupay or VISA. VISA usually offer more than Rupay in many cases. Also, rupay has its own issues at times. Please guide
