Infinia Breaking! New HDFC Infinia criteria increased? - Update July 2025

2. If your CL is increased to 10L recently in last 6 months, then this won't work.

I have tons of questions.

1. Do we need ITR/Salary even if Imperia/infinity RLV/TRV requirement is reached?
2. Is CL/Spends criteria increased only in case of imperia/infinity?

Normal sending email to grievance, is 8L limit still works?

My limit is stuck to 8l forever ( my regalia limit was 2L something and they had upgraded me to infina with credit limit of 8L , 3 years back )
It is my primary card with 90% of card expenses of full family (including parents) routed through it.
Then, based on your experience, my case could have been a combination of factors.
 
No card, anywhere in the world, is better than the Infnia for everyday offline POS. No need to transfer any miles either. Just direct book on Smartbuy.
Direct book what? International flights are overpriced on Smartbuy. I don't travel domestically. At all. And we have to cough up 70% of the fare every time. Also, I don't prefer booking via OTAs. It is too risky during international flights. I learned it the hard way.

Europe trip by Oman Air. Departing plane develops snag and departs 4 hours late. Connection missed.

Once in Muscat we saw some passengers were given options on next connecting flights while the rest were given hotel vouchers. When we enquired they were like "take it or stay here in the terminal!" (Oman Air service is downright horrible and borderline r*cist - the cabin crew literally shouted at me with barely masked contempt when I asked to buy an item on their inflight catalogue.). Later came to know that those who had booked with the airline directly were given priority. When we tried to get a refund so we could buy our own way directly, we were asked to get in touch with the agent we booked through.

Another time, this happened to parents. They were sent from Doha to Kochi via Kuwait (with a 6 hour layover), while some passengers who had booked directly with Qatar were accommodated on a QR flight the same day.

Have heard horror stories of people stuck in Istanbul etc. with no recourse because they could not reach the OTAs.

When you book with the airline, you are the airline's customer. Else you are the customer of the agent or the OTA. You need to sort things out with them.

Not really , I use Infinia only for reward portal , rest all spends are on Magnus , Accor transfer is a game chnager

That’s horrible have come across or heard similar issues for domestic travels also

Flights are definitely NOT overpriced on Smartbuy. The prices are often cheaper or similar to what you would get elsewhere. In fact, they offer you a choice of various aggregators to choose from like MMT, Yatra, Goibibo etc. You don’t have to pay 70% of the fare. You can pay 70% via reward points and have to pay only 30% yourself. You are misinformed.
