After closing my Coral Rupay, I finally tried this method and left the application in middle on iMobile and got a call. However, Sapphiro Rupay LTF was not available for me sadly. It had both joining & annual fees. I guess it works only with pre-approved offer or listed companies.

Better chance of getting pre approved sapphiro rupay if I dont have other. Anyway seems like I will need to wait for this.

No, according to my experience, they closed my dual variant. But there is no harm in trying; mail them, see what they are responding to.

Yes, It depends on the mood of the ICICI customer executive.

Read the comments — many people told all their cards activate and even got RuPay sapphiro credit card as Lifetime Free (LTF).

The ICICI customer executive will tell before apply, other cards will remain active or get closed.

For those whom the ICICI executive says it will remain active, it stays active.
And for those whom the executive says it will be closed, the ICICI executive closes it.

Just call the customer care and ask to get RuPay and get clear confirmation that no other card should be closed, mine are working perfectly fine rather I chose to close the MC one.

I hear you, their automated system are worst. 😆. try using-credit cards-emi conversion-they will state your recent transactions and ask for confirmation that "this is the transaction yo want to convert"-say NO- they will connect you to Virtual voice RM then.
Just keep saying NO, they will connect you.
