Which Debit Card to use for Credit Card Bill Payment in July 2025

Hey..
I don’t know if this is known already but just posting so that other people know ..

Yesterday I could pay my SC bill from SC app via IDFC RuPay DC and got the reward points ..

Quite strangely I tried using CRED first then GPay and what not..
Finally in frustration I went to SC app and wanted to pay immediately …
To my surprise I got Debit card option where I used IDFC FIRST TAP RUPAY DC

OTP msg: xxxxx is the OTP for transaction STANDARDCH for INR xxxx using IDFC Bank card ending xxxx

After transaction on IDFC app:
POS-RUPAY/STANDARDCHAB/ xx / MH IN/Mum

Hmm iska koi solution? I mailed but they gave procedure of old internet banking how to redeem.. i replied back.. update yourself before replying.. yet waiting another response

Today I received this reply from Indusind Bank. They ask to call phone banking and phone banking ask to mail reachus. They don't have solution. Phone banking unable to fetch points. IVR, automated SMS all confirms available points. No solution yet.

Indusind Customer care sabse bekar hai, reply bhi karega to 20 din lega reply karne me

Usme otp hi nahi aa raha redeem karne ke liye.

I completely agree. The old IndusInd app and NetBanking were much better. The new Indie app and Indie NetBanking have a confusing interface and feel very unpolished. Basic redeem features are missing and the overall experience is frustrating.

They seriously need to improve the design and usability. Hope they bring back the old UI or fix this soon.

Na--vi too giving points on indusind....tried for 1000 rs got it...also u can pay on navi even without bill generation...

which app ?

SBI sometime block DC, if you do transaction on utility category or Zavo app except SBI Unipay.

Paytm, phonepe, freecharge, billdesk is CC bill pay category and no problem here.

It was one-card app bill payment. Is the card gone now? Didn't receive any call from LBIN(Lazy Bank of India). In the SMS, they are asking me to visit the branch, which I won't.

If you visit SBI branch, they will unblock your card, already some people unblock their card through sbi branch.

Indus Visa Signature gives points. MC try for a small amount and check for points.
