HDFC Infinia June large SmartBuy reward points reversal

While checking my infinia statement I saw a large points reversal on the statement titled

SmartBuy Jun25_Reversal of 9X 0000

-12870

Please see attached for more details.

Has anyone faced similar reversal or situation? I have not had any reversed credit card transactions in this month so not sure what this is about.

And more importantly what to do to get it resolved?

kitne ka order tha gold coin ka? calculate karo konsa transaction 12870 value worth h.

If you can't figure it out it's better to ask CC or RM about this reversal.

reversal of 9X toh gold hi hoga for sure. because uska 1X is approve hoga as per terms and conditions and remaining accelerated bound to reversal h.

devaluation kya, T&C mai saaf saaf likha tha. Gold coins par nhi milega 10x, people thought hdfc is fool.

9X seems Hotel , have you canceled any hotel bookings previously?
Because Myntra 10x doesn’t reward as 9X, it will reward as base reward and 4x and 5x.

That's why I maintain a excel sheet for every single point on infinia. You are correct. First even if there was a reversal, it would say 5x reversal as myntra gold coins points were given as 1x, 4x, and 5x, not as 1x/9x.

Now talking abt June offer, even I availed it and mine hasn't been reversed. Forget reversal, I haven't even gotten it yet. I got 1x and 4x standard points. Extra 5x is yet to be given. I made the purchase on 1st June, and it's already been 60 days for my trxn.

Everyone needs to stop guessing and OP needs to talk to customer service and check what this reversal is about.

Also many here on this thread doesn't have infinia yet they are doing guess work that it is for gold coins.

9x can only be for either Hotel as hotel gives 1x+9x or igp/jockey/Pharmeasy which gives 1x/9x.

Thank you so much for explaining. I just checked my statements and indeed it was a hotel cancellation which was the exact amount of reversal. I had already composed an email to HDFC MD, thankfully saw your response and didn't send it to them.

Sorry for digressing here. I didn't get any points for grocery spends on Regalia (recently upgraded to Infinia) this month for spends in July. Will they be credited later? Grocery spends are around 10k.

Grocery points are always credited in the end of the month. As grocery points are calendar month basis, not statement month. If you spent money on groceries in June month, then you'll get it in July month statement. If the spend was on july month, then it will be in aug month statement.

Hence why I maintain excel sheet of every single point. Anything that is added or reversed, I straight away know which trxn it is of.
