You can upgrade to Super thru the 811 App itself with a new revised fee of ₹399/- (inclusive of all taxes) but as of now the Metal DC is available to NTB Customers only so you can't apply it now, probably you need to wait a bit longer. 😔 Thank You.

the thing is it requires exact amount of funding of 81100 and the qr they share is unique and soesnot accept any other amount

Since you already have 811 account, you are not NTB. You have to upgrade to super 811, download kotak811 app and login.

Check if there is any banner of "upgrade" to super 811. If there isn't, try contacting customer care. I have tried this customer care way for my 3 friends, it worked for 2, so worth a try.

Metal one will be chargeable since you are not new. This offer is/was for new users only and yes, if you had opened super 811 account offline then card would've been LTF.

Though, there will be annual subscription charges for super program as long as you continue.

Ps: If you only care about the rewards, trust me this DC is much better if you have plastic variant. This metal is thick af, some pos machine doesn't accept it.

doesn't fit in atm machines either.

Though looks great while holding it, OP has shared SS of the metal as well.

The Kotak 811 Super Savings A/C comes with a subscription fee of ₹300. Once subscribed, you're eligible for various debit cards with different fee structures. The basic card is lifetime free, while this premium metal card normally comes at an issuance fee of ₹4,999 + GST and an annual fee of ₹999 + GST.


However, a Kotak 811 representative reached out with a limited-time offer: if I opened a Kotak 811 Super Savings A/C with a minimum deposit of ₹82,000, I’d get the metal card completely free for life. I confirmed the offer in writing, applied immediately, and received the card in 4–5 working days. No charges applied so far!

Unboxing the Card​


The kit was delivered via Blue Dart—so no drama there.

It came in a deep red / wine coloured envelope, which, unfortunately, I couldn’t photograph—my 3-year-old got to it before I did! Inside was a sleek, matte-finish rectangular box that looked premium.

which was a 17 gram metal debit card - easily one of the more elegant and premium-looking cards issued in India. The craftsmanship is top-notch. Here’s how it looks -

Trust me..pictures don't do justice!

One standout feature: it includes your Customer Relationship Number (CRN) on the card itself. A small but super useful addition—it saves the back-and-forth with the app while talking to customer support.


Final Thoughts​

This card has some serious utility, especially as a fuel card. It can fetch you a benefit of up to 7.5% on fuel purchase (5% cashback + 2.5% surcharge waiver), without tying you to any petrol company. Be it IOCL, BPCL, HPCL - the discount is the same. Of course, the other perks—like lounge access and concierge support—just add to the value. Overall, I’m genuinely impressed.

question 1 -- I already have a Privy League (Platinum) account. Can I open the 811 account too (for a metal debit card)?

question 2 --- What are the requirements for a free metal debit card?

Question 1: I think You can open 811 Account, But you wont get Metal Debit Card
Question 2: Requirements:
1. New to Bank.
2. Intial funding of 81,100.
3. Offline KYC in Branch
