URGENT HELP!!! HDFC ERGO says premium not realized

Hello All
I need urgent help and suggestions. I renewed my parents health insurance policy for about 60k in Amazon on 7th of May 2025. Next day itself i got an email saying policy is renewed and policy certificate is issued

But today I got an email saying premium is not realized at thier end and if I don't pay it in 7 days the policy gets void.

When I called HDFC ERGO: they have no clue. And asked me to forward the email and said they will check.

When I called Amazon: they also took the screenshot of the email. And raise a ticket and asked me said they will take 3 days to let me know.


Can you guys tell me if anyone else faced this and how do I resolve this ASAP.

Well, first pay the premium again to secure the policy, it's important to keep it active. You can fight it later on.

For now, we can only wait, let's see what HDFC says to the receipt.

Btw, make the payment via UPI and email them to confirm whether they have received this payment or not.

I have received a letter via SP stating my policy is void. I had paid via Amazon Pay wallet too. The CGO confirmed over the mail that payment is realized but yet the policy was terminated.

Summary of Grievance:
I got an Email on June 13 2025 regarding non-realization of payment.

I escalated the issue to Chief Grievance Officer (CGO) on June 15, 2025 following initial erroneous communications from the company.

On June 16, 2025, I received a formal email from the Desk of the Chief Grievance Officer which explicitly stated: We would like to inform you that your policy is active and the payment details are also updated against the policy. A copy of the active policy was also attached.

Contradictory and Harassing Communications: Despite this definitive confirmation from their highest grievance officer, HDFC ERGO continued to harass me:
o June 20, 2025: Received an email threatening to void the policy within 2 days for non-payment.
o July 4, 2025: Received a physical letter via Registered Post (RLAD) dated June 29, 2025 stating unequivocally that the policy is treated as void from inception due to non-realization of premium.

HDFC ERGOs internal departments are clearly not in sync. Sending a letter declaring a policy void AFTER their own Chief Grievance Officer has confirmed in writing that the policy is active and paid for is an unacceptable level of service failure.

My God.. My parents are senior citizens if they terminate it we won't get a policy else where.

Btw did you get a refund ? If yes how?

No I have not received a refund they're harassing my agent as well.

I've contacted CGO and raised a complaint with CIOINS & IRDAI. Lets see how it goes. My agent recommended to make a payment and then dispute for the same. He's asking them to send a payment link and reinstate the policy as before. Let's See.

May I know when did you make the payment
