I talked to the customer care and asked them to send a mail to show is it correct branded or core card. They sent a mail saying it's not a co branded card rather a HDFC card. So it's a core card that for sure.

Dont believe HDFC blindly! they can say anything. Unlike Axis/icici they do not have any clear policies in CC.
Pixel card was not working in HDFC ecom offers, eg- Motorola has monthly offer for 10% hdfc, pixel does not work there, while other hdfc core card works.

BBPS has pixel card separate from rest of hdfc cards. You have no direct CS support.
Also apart from older bins of Tata neu cards, no other cobranded card works on HDFC ecomm offers!

So it's a third child of hdfc that too least favorite one though they may say whatever they want!

I will disagree in the Ecom offers. I used this card in Amazon Ecom offers and it worked.

Amazon & flipkart is covered by pixel, ecomm => general hdfc offer such as apple, motorola, samsung
Well, none of the bank has as ambiguous policies as hdfc
