My ICICI Rubyx LTF card application is rejected after 15 days quoting "Employment details could not be verified." Card was pre-approved and no income details asked while applying. It was applied on call, with ICICI Sales person, he said no need of income docs!

1. Can someone faced same issue?
2. What shoul I do now?

I had same experience almost a month back. It was for icici sapphiro

Even if updated its always an impractical list

Like what a random blog wanting clicks would make

The forum and comments make it worthy in this case but the post in itself is always horribly bad

For example that standard chartered card is listed as 3.3 or wherever everywhere but what about the practical aspects that the points you earn can just not be redeemed for anything useful ever so it's as good as trash if not worse
Same goes for many other cards - it's a theoretical list but from a community like this you'd want something sensible and practical

Thing is there is never the best list for everything. Use cases vary from person to person. One’s best might be other’s worst. The best one can do is analyse offerings and suit it for themselves as per there Utility. One simply needs to know how best they can extract something out of these options. Take example of One card for someone who’s a beginner it is a good all rounder option (especially after reintroduction of around you offers with 5% on almost everything ranging from fuel, medicines, grocery, etc) though many treat it like crap. SC ultimate again is still an outlier for many. Those who find utility in it are using it left, right and center.

Until you also realise practically that the bank never never ever have those specific gift cards in stock
And it's not that the stock is finished quickly but more so that they're just not stocked anytime

So practically it's a useless card but on paper it sounds great

I get your point from mass appeal pov. But that’s what I am saying as well. Practicality depends upon the individuals preference and spend areas/patterns. If a certain catalogue contains gift vouchers which are not commensurate with one’s lifestyle then the card is not meant for them and they won’t keep it. For someone who doesn’t use Smartbuy or travel would Infinia make sense to them? They are better off with ICICI Apay for that matter. There’s a use case for every card present in the market. It’s just what’s best for one is not always the case for the other and not every card can have mass appeal hence practicality from that pov. Besides there are ways to come around those redemptions but not including that since it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Oh wellll..... I have a hot take on that as well and my answer to that question is yes

I can explain but that'll become a big post in itself so I'll put it up as a post someday 🤭 but yes it does make sense
