so you will remove the autopay once bill paid ?Yes, it's working. I schedule each bill manually as soon as bill get generated. But remember, the payment will be deducted on the next working day of scheduled date.
For rupay card , no conveince feePaytm is adding surcharge/convenience fee
No I don't remove autopay. I schedule autopay manually before the system schedule it automatically. So, the system doesn't schedule it 2nd time. But if is scheduled by system, I just stop the scehduled autopay from schedued payments. Rest autopay stays on.so you will remove the autopay once bill paid ?
What’s the benefit of doing it manually vs letting it be done automatically? No I don't remove autopay. I schedule autopay manually before the system schedule it automatically. Most of my cards has due date of 10-15th of the month. I try to schedule as in first 2-3 days of month, so I can earn cb before they change mcc. Also if payment fails in starting of month, then I have another 7-10 days to schedule autopay again. What’s the benefit of doing it manually vs letting it be done automatically?
Automatic will give you utility mcc = 1% cashbackWhat’s the benefit of doing it manually vs letting it be done automatically?
Manual scheduling is different and paying manually instantly is different. If we manually schedule, then we are only changing the date, rest autopay happens as usual with utility mcc.Automatic will give you utility mcc = 1% cashback
Manual will give you 6540 = 0% cashback
Choice is yours.
So we'll get the cashback as usual.Manual scheduling is different and paying manually instantly is different. If we manually schedule, then we are only changing the date, rest autopay happens as usual with utility mcc.
Y E SSo we'll get the cashback as usual.

Does this work for millennia as well?My experience of getting 1% cashback on HDFC Platinum debit card.
Dec 23 - Opened Savings Max Account and got 'Visa Platinum Debit Card'. Started getting 1% cashback (upto Rs 750) on making payment of ICICI credit card through Bill Pay on HDFC platform. In around 6 months time it stopped automatically.
Nov 24 - Changed the account type to Speciale Gold and also converted to Classic Banking (on request). Placed order for new Platinum Debit Card with hope to get word Classic mentioned it. But again got the same variant 'Visa Platinum Debit Card'. Anyways, again started getting 1% cashback on payment of ICICI bank credit card through bill pay on HDFC platform. Only thing I did was delete the biller and re-register for auto-payment with the new debit card through Bill Pay on HDFC platform. Dont know if that was required to be done.
Not sure what has worked:
Has anyone experienced this before. Is it a technical glitch.
- New Account Type
- New Account type + New Debit Card
- New Account type + New Debit Card + Classic Banking

This is currently a working method irrespective of account type and age of Platinum debit card.
Suggested steps, as seen it as a working method for several people:
- Create new biller on mobile app. (Dont use Netbanking)
- While registering other bank CC Biller 'SmartPay Enabled' should be mentioned there.
- CC Bill generated should get registered in the 'Scheduled'. (an sms would also come mentioning word 'SmartPay').
- Let the payment happen on auto mode. (Another sms would come 2-3 days before auto payment, it would also have word 'SmartPay').
- Amount of bill generated and paid should match. During payment it would not ask for OTP/PIN.
- The merchant name showing in statement would be - DCSI-BBPSBILLPAY
Detailed steps on adding the other bank CC to HDFC Bill Pay.
- Register on HDFC mobile app by clicking 'add biller'.
- Select biller type 'Credit Card'.
- Enter Biller information - Select bank to which your credit card belongs to.
- Enter your mobile number and last 4 digits of the CC number. And give a name to the biller.
- At this point it would show 'Enable Smartpay'.
- In smartpay amount - select 'Entire Bill Amount'.
- In 'pay from' select your HDFC Platinum debit card. Enter Expiry date. Press continue.
- Skip the step of 'Would you like to make a payment while we add your biller?'
- Accept the T&C and press 'confirm'.
- Your registration would happen without OTP/PIN.
- An sms would come which have mention of 'HDFC SmartPay via Debit Card XXXX'
No. Not on any HDFC credit cards.Does this work for millennia as well?
