SBI PRAGATI RuPay JCB Platinum Debit Card | Free 1 year Amazon Prime, Swiggy One, MakeMyTrip, Bookmyshow Offer

Surprisingly, Had a good experience with the SBI Branch for the Application of Debit Cards.

My Account Variant - Regular SB CHQ - Wanted to Apply Pragathi Debit Card.
My wife's account variant - Lotus (Opened through YONO) - Wanted to Apply Nari Shakti Debit Card.

First, Deactivated the Debit Card from both the accounts on 21 May (Wednesday)

Went to the branch on 22 May (Thursday).
Got the Debit Card Application Form. After filling the basic details, I manually wrote "Card Variant: RPP" on top of the form. Gave it to the branch person. He said he will check if he can apply that variant. Checked it immediately and applied for it.

For my wife's account, filled another form and mentioned "Card Variant: WDC" on top of the form.
Gave it to the same person. He said the system gives an error stating some issues with Account Variant. He asked me if he can change the account variant and try. Changed the account variant to Regular SB CHQ and tried applying. He said it is now applied.

Got the tracking number via email on Saturday.

Got both the cards delivered today. (26 May, Monday)
Can you share BIN of this card

Issuance fee levied or not for pragati ?

Today morning i went to apply for rpp card and they already charged ₹354.
They said debit card fee.
Congratulations, bank ne aapka kaat diya hai 🤣

If you were to be charged an issuance fee, it must be ₹399 + GST, approximately ₹470 not ₹354.

Here, you got charged ₹354, which looks like ₹299 + GST, that fee is most likely your old active DC AMC.

That employee is aware of things, he knew that changing the account variant would solve the problem. Most don’t know that, or at least they don’t bother doing it. Good for you.
Bro, could you please tell me which one is more rewarding/ beneficial? WDC or RPP? for domestic use only.

Regular- cheque -women- single- now senior citizen account. Inactive (dormant) account, planning to visit branch today to re-activate, re-kyc, and then apply for new DC. I will be using that DC.

Both have completely different perks. Personally, I like WDC. It's completely up to you and your specific use case.

I don’t use WDC myself, I got it for my sister since she pays DC fees every year. It makes more sense to get something in return from DC if you are already paying for it.

WDC has:

- Zee5 Subscription (once a year)
- Flipkart GV ₹250 × 4 (per Q)
- Nykaa GV ₹500 x 4 (per Q)
- BMS ₹250 off
- Ganna+ subscription (once a year)
- Giva ₹500 GV (once a year)
- Also women's health package including pap smear

RPP has:

- Amazon prime (once a year)
- Swiggy one 3 months (once a year)
- BMS ₹250 off
- MakeMyTrip flat 10% on international/domestic flights up to Rs.1500 (per Q)
