Comments: So kotak myntra won't be missed anymore. 80k per quarter statement cycle is not enough for personal usage on Flipkart
For me, the card has lost its charm and usefulness. I use the SBI Cashback card regularly until I hit the ₹65K monthly cap, and only switch to the Flipkart Axis card for orders above that value. In my opinion, they could have kept the cap at ₹1.2L per quarter instead. Also, the fee waiver criteria of ₹3.5L annually feels a bit too high.

Exclusion Criteria for Reward Calculations
  • There is no change to the spend categories that are excluded from earning rewards.
  • However, to simplify reward tracking, excluded transactions will now be identified based on spend categories instead of the 4-digit Merchant Category Code (MCC).
  • The excluded spend categories are:
    • Movie, Fuel, Insurance, Utility, Rent, Wallet reloads, Jewelry, Education, Government Institutions.
Effective 01-10-2025:
Reward Points / Miles Forfeiture Policy
  • The Bank reserves the right to forfeit unredeemed EDGE REWARD Points / EDGE Milesunder the following conditions:
    • If the credit card is closed and the points/miles remain unredeemed beyond 30 days from the closure date.
    • If the minimum amount due remains unpaid for more than 90 days.
  • In case of card closure, it is recommended to redeem your EDGE REWARD Points / EDGE Miles within 30 days to avoid forfeiture.

In my opinion, For Axis Rewards, this is a devaluation. Earlier the minimum order was for 200, it's now changed to 500. So cannot be used for orders below 500!!

They also launched Axis bank Flipkart Cobranded UPI Network Payment because UPI Network also offer 5% Cashback.

Just like a debit card is a payment network/payment mode,

Similarly, UPI is also a payment network/payment mode.

The debit card is being highlighted as the "Co-branded Axis Flipkart Debit Card" because it offers 5% cashback.

But the co-branded partnership is not limited to the debit card network/payment mode — there is a co-branded partnership on the UPI network/payment mode as well.

That’s exactly why 5% cashback is also being offered on the UPI payment mode.

Okay, think of it like this — if UPI existed in a physical card form, what would you call it then?

Answer - “Axis Bank has launched Flipkart Cobranded UPI Card, offering 5% cashback on Flipkart purchases.”

You would use that wording, right?

Just because UPI doesn’t exist in a physical form, the mind is struggling to process that this is also an “Axis Bank Flipkart Co-branded UPI” which is offering a 5% cashback. 😛😛

The airport transport transfer service distance has been reduced from 40 km to 25 km in most cities. For Bangalore and Hyderabad, the revised limit is 35 km. Service is now strictly point-to-point with no detours or stopovers.
Comments: Reduction in service radius significantly impacts convenience. Cardholders in extended suburbs and excluded areas (e.g., Mumbai’s Vasai-Virar belt) may now need to bear additional charges.

Update: For Snapdeal credit card Auto redemption of reward points is discontinued. Cardholders must manually redeem points via the BOBCARD Portal or Mobile App.
Update: Effective July 1, 2025, a minimum of 1,000 reward points will be required for redemption against the statement balance across all credit card variants.
Comments: A positive move earlier excluded categories now contribute to rewards, adding more value to routine spending..

Key Changes: Effective July 1, 2025​

  1. Online Skill-Based Gaming Transactions(MCC: 5816):
    • 1% fee if monthly spends exceed ₹10,000 (on full amount)
    • Max charge capped at ₹4,999/month
    • No reward points on such transactions
  2. Wallet Loading Transactions(MCC: 6540):
    • 1% fee if monthly wallet loads exceed ₹10,000
    • Max charge capped at ₹4,999/month
  3. Utility Transactions(MCC: 4900):
    • 1% fee if monthly utility spends exceed ₹50,000
    • Max charge capped at ₹4,999/month
    • Insurance transactions excluded
  4. Updated Charge Cap for Rent, Fuel, Education Transactions:
    • 1% charge continues
    • Max fee per transaction now capped at ₹4,999
    • Fuel fee only applicable if txn > ₹15,000
    • Education charge only on payments via third-party apps (not via direct school/college sites or POS)
Comments: Major blow to heavy spenders and wallet/gaming users. Even reward point exclusion on gaming adds to the impact. Important to revisit monthly spending patterns post-July.
