From July 15, 2025, SBI Card will discontinue complimentary air accident insurance on several premium cards like ELITE, PRIME, and MILES ELITE.

Important Change: Accelerated Reward Points Benefit Removal

HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Cardholders should note that the accelerated rewards benefit where you get 5X reward points on annual spends above ₹4 lakh (up to a maximum of 15,000 extra points per anniversary year) will be discontinued with effect from August 31, 2025.

Last Date: The 5X accelerated rewards benefit on spends exceeding ₹4 lakh will end on August 31, 2025. After this date, these extra milestone points will no longer accrue.

Issued Before Cut-Off: If your card was issued prior to September 1, 2025, and you cross the ₹4 lakh spend before the next card anniversary, you may still get the accelerated benefit until your next card anniversary or August 31, 2026 whichever comes first.

New Cards: Cards issued on or after September 1, 2025, are not eligible for this accelerated rewards milestone at all.

Additional Info:
This change is part of an upgrade for the HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Card to a Visa Signature platform from September 2025.
