1% Cashback returns on HDFC Platinum Debit Card

There seems to be a delay of 1 day by autopay. For example, schedule shows April 27 but the payment happens on April 28. I have witnessed this for the past 2 months.

The email from HDFC literally says "The bill we be paid on next working date from scheduled date", so I guess it's by design.

So Autopay has happened for me. Amount debited from my bank account. I said yes for the verification call at 6 AM. Amounts credited to the respective credit cards.

But my total amount only 42K not 75K.. my question is can I somehow remove it now and make it pay again? Since outstanding on those credit cards is still higher and unpaid plus some BBPS billers as we know show the bill again to pay?

No, hdfc autopay works only for billers which were added before their bill generation.

No, hdfc autopay works only for billers which were added before their bill generation.

No i think hdfc Autopay works only if it detects the bill and also it needs to be before 5 days of due date because Autopay usually occurs 4 days prior to due date

Today my SBI Cashback & simply save amount deducted only simply save rupay bill got processed timeline as below

For Both SBI Cards last due date 02 may 2025 scheduled for SmartPay HDFC biller on13APR2025 &

Auto pay was scheduled for 28APR2025 both sbi cards & today 29APR got amount deducted

06.02 AM - Amount deducted for both simply save & cashback
06.05 AM - HDFC SMS Says BBPS SMS amount deducted from Savings A/c for both cards Cashback & save
06.30 AM - HDFC bill processed for simply save only
06.34 AM- SBI Confirm SMS for Amount received for Simply save

Still waited for cashback card for bill processed as per hdfc biller it is in process till now.

Kindly someone confirms it will process or will go to fails status how much hdfc will take to confirm this payment & refund, right now it has more outstanding after cashback credited last months.

For Trial Purpose already paid small amount with HDFC DC it works with in a seconds got credited trial amount paid on 07APR2025 for cashback cards .

Similar experience with apay card only coral rupay got processed feels some back end issue with both cards from HDFC Side.

Yes. you get 1% cashback for all non-HDFC CC using SmartPay on HDFC Bill Pay portal, via your HDFC Platinum DC.

What happen if someone missed auto pay verification call

No idea but given how this same verification call comes for repeated MANUAL debit card txns, my guess is auto pay will fail as the txns will be declined. Btw auto pay at 6 AM is a bad idea. I am going to rant about it on Twitter. They should do within working hours. Auto pay=Disturbed sleep for ₹750

Think someone holding SBI card or expert @Abhishek012 would need to confirm on this.

1. Was there a difference between total bill amount and current outstanding on the cashback card.
2. Dont make any partial/manual payments in between. Wait for autopay to happen.
3. Wait for amount to reflect in SBI Cashback card till tomorrow. If doesnt reflect, speak to customer care of HDFC.

For your reference
1. Outstanding i kept more even cashback was credited if i pay it take more than billed amount already i kept but yesterday 09.30 pm after it says failed sms refund not come till now says 5 days wait , even rupay save card credited with in a minute's early morning yesterday only.
2. No payment was made except cashback so i utilize here kept as more than bill pay amount
3.Cleared immediately by billpay desk as per @Abhishek012 guide by sbi vdc hope something will come... due to due date is 02may25 its very risky step can't hold more pending dues.

Even i noticed sbi never sent any sms notifications to pay the bills except statement generated,
even third party like cred, Paytm reminder works, in case axis, icici better at least they sent 2 times reminder sms in 7 & 5 days from due date interval please clear your bills if forgot sbi payments messed up with following bills.

That's not true. I had the cashback paid for my AU bank LIT card as well, but still the auto pay was successful. I also paid the minimum amount due manually. So, that is not the reason.

Yes. SBI Card not allowed more than available limit for payment.

No a 5% extra allowed. If that is the presumed problem then do one thing, before autopay date do a txns which covers the cashback amount.
