Zomato New Loyalty Program Gold- Launched

Zomato has come back with its new Loyalty program- ZOMATO GOLD.

Edition card holders' Pro & Pro plus membership has been terminated from today and has been replaced with complimentary Gold membership for next 3 months i.e. till 25th April 2023.

No info yet about whether this membership will come free with Edition card or not.

For me, they have terminated from today itself. I was Pro plus member till 12th Feb without Edition card. Maybe it could be till 25th May for Edition card holders.

Zomato is trying to fool customers. By changing the name of the program, they are able to escape from the promise of lifetime free zomato pro to RBL customers. However, Zomato gold already existed 3-4 years back.

In which part do you live, I actually find swiggy more reliable, Zomato's customer support doesn't give shit anymore. Swiggy instamart has huge variety as well. But zomato's grofers shows always not deliverable for me!

Exactly. I always use swiggy, as swiggy one can be bought😂, but Zomato pro plus was luck based. Paying 30-100 rs extra every order is worst thing.

Swiggy refund system is also pretty good. Automated instant refunds.

Swiggy vouchers can be bought easily at 10-15% discount. Zomato recently launched its voucher, but discount is lesser than swiggy.

Even now Zomato gold free delivery is over 199, whereas swiggy one is above 149.

I think they are extending pro till Feb only for cardholders, due to rbi mandatory timeline of 1 month for any feature change.

For others, they are either refunding (if paid via cash) or terminating pro/pro plus immediately and giving 3 months gold.

I had both code as well as card. I can see gold active now for next 3 months assuming it is compensation for code. Hopefully next month they will add another 3 months for card subscription also.

Yep they've refunded my 1 month Pro plus fee (in Zomato credits) and added 3 months Gold membership

I personally find more offers in Zomato as compared to Swiggy when both are enrolled in Loyalty program.

I find Swiggy way better than Zomato in Bangalore.. I see multiple positives with Swiggy than Zomato

- Swiggy One (Delivery free) & Zomato Pro (Delivery charged)
- Swiggy many bank offers (Axis Myzone , IndusInd, Swiggy Money with HDFC smartbuy) .. less bank offers at Zomato
- Swiggy delivery on-time compared with Zomato

That makes it even more disadvantageous for the existing cardholders, as we would now have to pay delivery charges for 1 more month
